The graphics looked amazing.

A Blizzard exclusive would end the console war

All the games looked okay to good.

I don't think they're gonna destroy the second hand market, if they do it and Microsoft doesn't, they're going to lose A LOT of money. They're smarter than that.

However much people complain or whatever, I'll never understand. That presentation was fantuckingfastic.

I will say now I am only interested in two games that Sony showcased tonight: InFamous: Second Son and Watch Dogs. A new Final Fantasy also teases me, but I am forced to wait until E3 to discover anything about that.

Why they only showed off the controller and not the console itself perplexes me. It's like buying a work of art and not hanging it up on display. Pointless.

The game streaming looks very promising, but the quality of the service itself is going to depend on the quality on the consumer's internet connection. So, looks like I'll be screwed outta that feature.

The graphics do look awesome. Sony weren't skimping on that when they conceived it for sure. I just hope it doesn't show up on the price too badly.

Finally, Bungie with Destiny was their ace in the hole for the night. They finally have the company who have been responsibly for their arch-rival's uprising in their grasp, along with exclusive content that all the Bungie fans are going to be craving for. If Destiny is a huge hit like Halo was, they could begin to take back the crown that the Xbox 360 took from Sony back in 05'.

We all expected this, since Sony needs the PS4 to get them out of the red. But at first looks, they might have it nailed. We'll just have to wait and see.

"Then again, perhaps Sony has no plans to implement the RFID tagging check at all and will just hang onto this patent to stop others using it."

Sony has always stood out against blocking second hand games. I would suspect they will do the same here. That is just my honest view considering I have never seen Sony act in this manner before, especially in copyright situations.

Sony AND Microsoft WANT to block second hand games.

If one does it, the other is sure to follow. And if they don't follow then, nothing happens, whoever went in will pull out. Pretty straight forward. No need to separate them.

I will say that if they do both block them, Nintendo survives easily since it'll be the only system that doesn't block second-hand games.

What bugs me is no backwards compatibility....

they do say you will be able to play all PS1-3 games at some point. What that means is probably that they stream it all to you.

I also like the idea behind being able to play demos without downloading them. Onlive did this as well. I also like how they didn't go all out on a new crazy gimmick design, the screen will probably work the same as the Vita does, and if that's correct you might be able to play Vita games on your console (though it does require a touchscreen so maybe not).

I also like the new design of the start screen, it looks kind of like a cross between Xbox and Windows 8 in a way, while still keeping a playstationish design. At one point I saw a lot of stuff on the screen at once, I forgot what it was for but it looked kind of awful like something on a phone. Hope it's not something I actually want to use all the time.

Still what about the old save files I have on my ps3?  Also how about trophies now that they are a part of your PSN id?

Why can an all singing all dancing machine not offer backwards compat? When some simpler like the Wii can. They need to take a page out of Nintendo's book in future.

Way to be very vague. Suppose E3 will provide the lion's share of info.

both PS2 and early PS3 has done it, why they stopped I don't get. But really, I don't care, I havn't even played any gamecube games on my Wii, and I have had it for at least 3-4 years.

Not quite sure what you mean, if you got a PS3 why would you care about playing them on your PS4 instead? Just use the PS3.

Ugh, don't remind me. It's why I've started a Sony embargo. The only games that I really want are "Knack" and "inFAMOUS: Second Son".

What about Watch_Dogs (I think that's how they want you to spell it), that's looking pretty amazing. I also like the Killzone gameplay, it looks not so generic anymore, it looks like it's Bioshock Infinite kind of.

Not that I don't believe you, but is there a source?

We're good.

This topic makes me feel silly, since I still own a PS2.

*looks over at PS3, PS2, and NES*

Also, let me remind you guys that not every game that was shown is exclusive to PS4. Some of you sound like you got that impression.

It reminds me a bit of Eden of the East, and the hacking itself seems interesting, but since it was just announced that it will also be on the Wii U, I'll get it for that instead.

I find it rather interesting that Yoshida had to consult his PR advisor when talking about used games. So Nintendo allows both used games and backwards compatibility, and Sony is only allowing used games. I'm curious if Microsoft will be like Nintendo and allow both things or reach the ultimate level of scumbag by allowing neither.

Microsoft won't do it since Sony didn't. They'll probably allow backwards compatibility for a limited number of 360 games like the 360 did for the original Xbox.

As for Watch_Dogs, I SERIOUSLY hope you're not implying that the WiiU port will be any bit as good as the PS4 or PC version :<
