Solemn Warning

Recommended Posts

Stupidest decision ever to put this @1 considering the aggression that a bunch of decks in the meta currently have. It's cool bro, let's just take away UNIVERSAL defense from every deck, and let's make sure one of the big 4 of next format: Verz, Flame Star, Atlantean Mermail and Prophecy can shit out OTKs like they're nothing. Let's also make it quite possible for Prophecies to put these OTKs down too, just not as often. Yknow, why don't we give the other two decks bosses that just sit there and annoy the piss out of the other player, Ophion being one of the dumbest bosses ever printed.

Yes, you can subsitute it for other traps. But nothing beats a Warning in terms of Summon Negation. I could see this card going to 1, just not now. In a slower format, I would agree, but when we have 1 Super aggro.dek, one + you out deck and two potent control decks that can also put big ass monsters on board easily, I just can't agree with this choice any less than I am right now.

Should have been at 1 to begin with. Flat Negation of all summons for a laughable cost shouldn't be ran in multiples. "It counters the broken stuff" shouldn't be a reason to keep it at 2, since it counters everything else, and the broken stuff run it as well.

Edit: Book of Moon most likely, If I don't already have space for it.

As much as I hate to say it, Warning didn't deserve to go to 1. It really was a necessary evil, even though it usually became a win-more card when it stops your opponent's last feeble attack.

Either way, this was the necessary out to the vast majority of spam we got. With it being at @1, well, I shudder to think now that we have the Incarnate Dragons.

This.

The card is great for stopping game-winner bosses- But pretty much becomes an auto-win outside of that, if your only actual move IS something of that caliber :/

I wasn't planing on playing Warning in my March 2013 deck anyway so to me this is just one less card in every deck I play against to worry about. However I know that this is a stupid hit and I would ever have preferred for it to move in the other direction on the list.
