宇佐見 蓮子@C94
http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/295647-toyos-not-so-epic-series-of-contests-now-ready-to-start/

1. You need to be a part of "Toyo's not-so-epic-series-of-contests" to participate in this. 2. Cards are due before the 22nd of February. Contest ends on the 24th. 3. I reserve the right to make new rules.

Ah, February, the month of love. To tie-in with Valentine's day, your task now is to make 2 monsters who support each other and a combination of that two monsters. (So that's 3 cards, in case you lack common sense) The combination card can be a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz Or Effect Monster. Oh, written cards are not allowed. Good luck. :D

Card A Special Summons Card B and you can Special Summon Card C by sending Card A and Card B to the graveyard.

OCG: 0-20 Relativity To Theme: 0-30 Effect Balance: 0-15 Effect Usability: 0-15 Effect Creativity: 015 Theme/Lore: (The cards need to tell some kind of story, like in Gagagigo or Marauding Captain) 0-5

Winner: 10 points Runner-up: 8 Points 3rd Place: 6 points 4th Place: 4 points 5th to 9th place: 2 points 10th to 12th place: Nothing. Nil. Zero.
Good Luck, people.
Alpakha
Can the combination monster be an Xyz? Also, do we need to write out the story between the 3 cards?
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Yeah, Xyzs are fine. You don't need to write a story for the three characters, you can tell the story by their effect and/or by their pictures.
Alpakha
Ok cool, cuz Imma make cards about a father mother losing his child but they're reunited by an angel... cuz those were the pictures I found. Also the father is a cross dresser (unless I can find a better picture). It's gonna be a mother losing her daughter. Hey look, I'm not procrastinating...
The simple story is the child gets lost and Mom searches for her, and an angel unites them together. Lunama's cost to discard a spell is like a mother giving everything she has to find her missing child. The monster being added to the hand is of course the mother find her child. The Cherub's effect is like an angel keeping them together forever and keeping them safe, hence the effect. The hand is the house and the deck is the city where the child is lost. Also, it's the moon, stars, and sun..... so yeah.

Luna + mama, so it could be Lumama or Luna Ma.... 1 "Lunama" + 1 "Star Child" Once per turn you can return 1 "Star Child" from your hand or Graveyard to your Deck to add 1 "Lunama" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. If a Rank/Level 4 or lower LIGHT Spellcaster-type monster you control were to be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.
EDIT: Looking at the other cards, I noticed how simple my cards are. I based the cards on the story I came up a long with the effects not the other way around so the effects aren't the best I've made. So yeah, I'm giving you the whole story. Loyalist
My not so impressive entry:
Lore: This card can only be Special Summoned by banishing from your side of the field 1 "Resilient Knight - Paladin" and 1 "Reckless Knight - Oblivion" (You do not use polymerization). During the End Phase of the turn this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard you can add the Monsters banished by this card's effect to your hand.
Since everyone else is making a short statement about their stories I guess i'll make one before it is too late: 2 Warriors, brothers in arms and blood. Oblivion, the youngest and bravest of the two charges into battle. Paladin, the eldest of the two was charged by his father the responsibly to protect his sibling. And in the heat of battle an even more gallant knight takes to the field, protecting the two warriors with courage and virtue.
Zazubat
Just posting this so it goes in the "My content" page. Also, pretty neat idea and also gives more freedom than last time. I'll probably have mine up either today or tomorrow. Got pics ready, now I just need an idea. Hmm

Love of Ghibli
Why are written cards not allowed again? Zazubat
I know it's kind off far-fetched to relate this to the story, but hear me out here:First, the name. As in the story, they're in love, but their love cannot be because they are in a fight. Therefor the name Eternal Stare, both to fererence a love trope, and that the fight might be eternal. Then there's the whole needing each other and not having any other cards be Special Summonable except the so-called "Overhead". Then there's the whole working together (love bonding). Then there's the part about Shuffling them into the Deck (to keep them away from each other). Tributing can be attributed to their (oh and spoiler if you somehow didn't know) death at the end of the story. The last part of Will can be a ferenece to how they keep on making the play over an over again and it keeps life in Romeo and Juliet. Anyways, here's the cards:
You can reveal this card and "Eternal Stare - Romeo" in your hand; Special Summon both. You cannot attack for the rest of the turn, and you cannot Special Summon any other monsters except "Eternal Stare - Will of the Overhead". Once per turn, if you control "Eternal Stare - Remeo": You can send the top card from your Deck to your Graveyard; if it is an "Eternal Stare" monster, add it to your hand during the End Phase. That card in your Graveyard cannot be Special Summoned.

You can reveal this card and "Eternal Stare - Juliet" in your hand; Special Summon both. You cannot attack for the rest of the turn, and you cannot Special Summon any other monsters except "Eternal Stare - Will of the Overhead". Once per turn, if you control "Eternal Stare - Juliet": You can send the top card from your Deck to your Graveyard; if it isn't an "Eternal Stare" monster, banish it. If it is, you can banish an other card in your Graveyard, add that card to your hand.

If this card is in your Graveyard: "Eternal Stare" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle, except "Eternal Stare - Will of the Overhead". This effect of "Eternal Stare - Will of the Overhead" can only be used once per turn. Once per turn: You can shuffle 2 Eternal Stare" monsters from your Graveyard into your Deck; target 1 monster on the field and destroy it. You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing "Eternal Stare - Romeo" and "Eternal Stare - Juliet", and if you do, this card gains this effect:*Once per turn, if you control no other monsters: You can banish 2 "Eternal Stare" monster from your Graveyard; add 2 "Eternal Stare" monster to your hand, except "Eternal Stare - Will of the Overhead" from your Deck to your hand.
EDIT: Bleh really messed up my spoilers, sorry about that. Whenever this card attacks you can destroy one card on the field. If you destroyed a card under your control your opponent sends one card from their hand to the graveyard *Rulings* I think I worded it the way I wanted to, but just in case I will explain. The effect(s) to destroy happen as soon as they declare an attack. So before the attack moves on to the next stage a card must be destroyed if you choose the activate the effect. Saynt
Two demons, both born of fear, are in constant pursuit of one another. One took the guise of a knight, while the other appeared in its true form. Throughout the land they traveled, one following the other, seemingly without purpose. No one alive remembers why they are chasing one another, yet all are affected by the aura of fear that they radiate. So powerful was this fear that it sprang forth from the minds of its victims, bring into being a third demon, a fusion of the original two, and more powerful by far. Thus the cycle of fear perpetuates, to this very day.

You can target 1 face-up Level 5 or higher Effect Monster you control: Negate its effect, then Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card inflicts Battle Damage, you can negate the effect of a monster in your opponent's possession during the next turn by discarding 1 monster from your hand (even if you no longer control this face-up card). Monsters whose effects are negated by this card cannot activate their effects until the end of that turn. If this card is destroyed, you can add 1 "Phobus" from your Deck to your hand. *Monsters with negated effects cannot activate their effects in the hand, Graveyard, or Banished Zone during the same turn.

When an Effect Monster your opponent controls activates its effect: Destroy this card. If this card's effect would be negated, you can instead send 1 Fiend-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, then target and destroy 1 card on the field. *After using the effect, it would be immune to effect negation until another card would negate its effect, or if it leaves the field.
