Aix
Theme Contest Hacking to the Gate Welcome, welcome, here's the first contest, it will be a contest based on a theme. I was going to do a different theme, but stuff changed my mind. [hr]Card Requirements: Create a themed card, or two cards (your choice), can be generic or support, I don't care. The theme is Time Travel. If you make 2, whether or not they support each other is your choice, however, if you make two, the other card WILL be taken into consideration when judging (especially Balance). [hr]Rules (Copy and pasted from my contest... which was copy and pasted from Toyo) 1. All YCM Rules apply. Be it the general rules of YCM or the Card Contests rule. 2. Common Sense. Unless you're me. 3. Follow Card Requirements. 4. You don't have to do every contest, but the more contests you skip, the smaller your chances of winning becomes. You can join the contest at any time, if you pay at the main. 5. I have the right to make new rules without telling anybody. Even though I'll probably post here if I do make a new rule. 6. I have the power to kick you out of this series if I will. 7. Respect other contestants. 8. Understanding references may push you past the 1% divergence (no it won't). 9. Contest Deadline is February 22nd, at midnight EST. [hr]Frequently Asked Questions Why isn't the title rainbow? It just isn't. [hr]Judging Theme/Relevance: -/1 Originality/Creativity: -/3 Balance Playability: -/5 [hr]Prize List First Place: 40 points + 1 Rep Second Place: 27 points + 0 Reps Third Place: 16 points + 0 Reps [hr]If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or PM me. drcrisis
Send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard. During your next Standby Phase: Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with the same name as that monster, but it cannot attack during the turn it is Special Summoned. Can be quickplayed after draw, then you can chain Pyro Clock to get a free summon from your Deck. Has multiple uses and sets up without being too broken. Like it? PrimeAceJohn
No prob. 1 sec. CLICK ON THE ACTUAL CARDS TO SEE THEM CLOSER Once per turn, you can target 1 level 4 or lower "LV." monster from your Deck and send it to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck that is listed in the sent monster's text, ignoring its Summoning conditions. During the End Phase of this turn, you must pay Life Points equal the ATK of the Special Summoned monster. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard; destroy all face-up level 5 or higher "LV." monsters Special Summoned by the this effect and Special Summon 1 monster banished by this effect in face-up defense position. You can only control 1 face-up "Level Platform of Evolution." Other card Target 1 level 4 or lower monster from your deck and banish it. As long as the targeted monster is banished, once per turn, you can place 1 Future Counter on this card (max.3). You can remove 3 Future Counters from this card: Special Summon the targeted monster in attack position. If the Special Summoned monster is destroyed: Destroy this card. If this card is destroyed: Destroy the Special Summoned monster. Both players can only activate the effect of "Future Summoning Void" once per duel. NOTE: Platform: How is the like Time Travel? LV monsters, general, represent Time Travel in a sense that they go through evolution to get to certain estates - which is why I made this card. Let me put this card in a way that it is an accelerated evolution. It helps bring out the big, heavy beaters every turn - but at a cost of their ATK + when Platform's destroyed, they all get destroyed. However, I didn't want to make it seem so drawback-ish so I concluded it with Special Summoning the original, itsy-bitsy LV monster so you can re-summon again. This really supports only a LV deck. Void: Why did I choose this as my second option? Well, I simply like the creativity and fun I put into Platform more than this. Even though this card would seem much more useful than Platform, it has a somewhat simple effect. It's a little like Future Fusion, so even when your opponent destroys it, at least you got rid of their MSE or Solemns - which is good. I knew that people would immediately think this card is OP, but both players can use it once per duel - which makes a huge difference in my opinion so you don't keep SSing from the deck so easily + you have to wait 3 full turns until you finally activate it.
