Alrighty folks, this is going to be a tournament-style elimination contest where you will be pitted against another member to make the best cards possible!

[spoiler='How does this work, Sora?']Simple. There will be 8 contestants total, and each of you will pick a number from 1 to 8 that you will state when you join. Obviously, you cannot pick the same number as someone else. When the first contest starts, you will be pitted against another entrant, and both of you create cards that go with the requirements I set for you. The entrant whose card I deem to be better will progress to the next round, and the loser will be eliminated. We'll be having 3 rounds, including 1 loser's round for 3rd place (from the 2 people who lost during the second round)[/spoiler]
[spoiler='Rules n' Shit']1. No more than 8 contestants. We start once we have 8 contestants.
2. No spamming, flaming, raging, trolling, etc. Don't be a douchebag.
3. Follow the given card requirements (duh!).
4. You must submit your cards to me via PM or else they will not be judged.
5. I have the right to add rules if I deem it necessary.
6. Written cards are ok unless I state otherwise in the card requirements.
7. Get your cards in by the due date. This shouldn't be a problem: 1 week is more than enough time.
8. If you want to drop out for whatever reason, PM me and you will receive a full refund in points. Unless you're breaking rule 2, in which case, you will not receive any points.[/spoiler]
[spoiler='Entry Fee, the Current Pot, and Prizes']*50 point entry fee, Nothing extravagant.
*First place gets 50% of the pot.
*Second place gets 25% of the pot and 2 reps.
*Third place gets 25% of the pot.
*The Pot: 1451 points as of now.[/spoiler]

Alright, so I've come up with these pairings in a completely random fashion.  Each pair will have a different task to fulfill than the next pair, and the loser is eliminated.  Here are your pairings and tasks:

 

[spoiler='1 vs 4']Your task will be to make Koa'ki Meirus good in 3 cards or fewer. You can focus on one of the mini-themes that they have, such as the mini-beast warrior thing or the mini-rock thing, or you can support them as a whole. You will be graded on relevance to the deck and overall design in addition to the regular stuff (creativity, balance, OCG, etc.).[/spoiler]

 

[spoiler='2 vs 8']Your task is to make a playable equip spell card. This is very open-ended, so make the most of this task. You will be graded on usability primarily, but the regular stuff (see the 1 vs 4 spoiler for details) will be taken into account.[/spoiler]

 

[spoiler='3 vs 5']Your task is to take an oldie but goodie (i.e. Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes, etc.) and retrain it to make it viable. It can be an Xyz, synchro, ritual, or effect monster. I will be taking relevance to the original card into account when I judge, so try to make the effect similar to or alluding to its former counterpart.[/spoiler]

 

[spoiler='6 vs 7']Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate nine! But there is no 9 in this contest... and not many good rank 9 Xyz out there, come to think of it. Your task is to make a total of 5 cards: 3 or 4 effect monsters that aid in the efficient summoning of rank 9s as well as 1 or 2 powerful and generic 2-material rank 9s. Judging for this contest will be preeety standard (OCG, balance, creativity, and usability).[/spoiler]

 

Your cards are due by next Thursday at midnight eastern time.  Get to work peeps!
