When a monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can Tribute the attacking monster; Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn, when this card attacks: You can banish 1 monster in your Graveyard; this card gains 500 ATK and DEF until the End Phase.

You take a -1 to upgrade a monster who is strong enough to kill another monster, with the possibility of a quick 3000 attacker. If your opponent controls a little monster and a big monster, you can use this to swipe over the big monster after taking out the little monster.

There's not enough potential in this. You can add damage and run over large things, but it's like Blackwing - Bora the Spear. Just extra damage with extra risk. Not worthwhile in my opinion.

I'm confused about your review, where's the risk? Your opponent can't activate trap cards like bottomless or torrential in the Damage Step, so it's going to be hard to take this out at summon. I also don't get your comparison with Blackwing, that is way less of a beater than this card, so can you explain why it's not worthwhile? Also, with your -1, you use a monster to get a monster, that should become a 0 shouldn't it? I don't get how this whole +/- thing works yet, though I think that's how it works.
