Black Mirror is a British television drama series created by Charlie Brooker. The series is produced by Zeppotron for Endemol. Regarding the programme's content and structure, Brooker noted, "each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they're all about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy."

Got to be one of my favourite shows of all time. It's witty, elegant and incredibly chilling. It's sci-fi satire of modern culture and its dependence on technology.

The first series of the programme was back in 2011, but the new series is starting this month. Each episode touches on a completely different subject - they're all one-offs. The pilot of the first series was a terrorist thriller involving a Prime Minister and public bovine sex. The next episode was a Nineteen Eighty-Four-esque show in a dystopian facility.

The first episode of this series is a much subtler story on a grieving woman who discovers an app to let her communicate with a scarily accurate, but virtual, version of her dead partner. It unravels as everything for her just becomes crazier.

If you're living in Britain, go take out a look on Monday. I'm sure others can get it somewhere. It's just absolutely enthralling.
