This song doesn't lack substance. I understand how it could be seen that way given the upbeat irreverence typical of rap hits devoid of substance, but its popularity speaks to the exasperation felt by rap fans with the oversaturation of designer brands proliferated by Biggie wannabes. This song is every bit as much as refreshingly novel in Hip Hop as his other tracks like Same Love. That being said, Macklemore's other stuff is also pretty great and he's one of a small but increasing number of tolerable big name rappers in our generation. Hip Hop's dark age might finally be receding, which would be wonderful given how powerful it can be.

This song is funny XD, and I am into Rapping... Macklemore goes at a different approach to rapping unlike Eminem, Lil' Wayne, and Drake! But he is still pretty good and this songs has been in the Top 5 since the song came out...

You're comparing Eminem to Lil' Wayne?
