Flame Dragon
Annother day and another aura. Side from being really pretty this was super good for me in the prerelease. Got to say the block has some really good auras.
The Hounds Of Anubis
Didn't get to see this played at all at the prerelease, but then again I didn't open it and I never had time between rounds to check other games since my matches took so long. Seems like it'd be great in GTC limited, provided you have some manner of not getting 2-for-1'd easily, since most of the set is made up of weaker creatures that sit on the ground. Flame Dragon
Odd, I often had tons of time after my matches finished and I was playing Simic and Orzhov. And yea, I used this to win multiple games and every time I was afraid of removal or bounce. Lucky for me my opponent never got there or if they did I already 2-for-1'd them. In the games I played though getting 2-for-1'd seems like its going to be a bit more common this set thanks to Bloodrush and the decent number of instant speed removal spells. Flame Dragon
Splashing a double white card seems REALLY greedy. I mean not as bad as playing 2 guild leader with no color in common in the same deck greedy but still greedy. Still you can easily run this in Boros and still get some good bloodrush guys, however you become super open for a 3 for 1 if your opponent has any removal. Eh, I was using Orzhov but didn't get much extort or much in the form of finishers (My biggest creatures were just Smog Elemental, Treasury Thrull and the Protector that makes a 4/4 Angel) so my deck was mostly just removal and blockers. Didn't help that it's ridiculously hard to go on the offence against Boros (3/5 of my matches) since it'd leave my defences open for a bigger crack back. Heck, my deck was so durdly that I drew 2 matches in time, although given one more turn I would've topdecked exactly what I needed to win in the first match (second one could've gone either way but we were both in single digits). Well ok so I did a bit more than splash white...*looks at my Aurelia the Warleader* Boros Keyrune helped a bit too.
Flame Dragon
She is a good reason to go into white though. Just your going to REALLY need to force your mana base if your want to splash for her.
