Mr.Robot
Discworld is a comic fantasy book series written by the English writer Terry Pratchett, set on the fictional Discworld, a flat disc balanced on the backs of four elephants which, in turn, stand on the back of a giant turtle, Great A'Tuin. The books frequently parody, or at least take inspiration from J. R. R. Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, H. P. Lovecraft and William Shakespeare, as well as mythology, folklore and fairy tales, often using them for satirical parallels with current cultural, political and scientific issues. Just bought the first 10 books. Instantly love em. What bout you YCM, comment, discuss or whatever as long as it's related to all things Discworld. Chrom
I've got more discworld novels than I can count. There's no particular order in which I read them. I like DEATH because he speaks in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. Right now I'm reading Night Watch.
ZeRainbowDash
I didn't know they were comic books. I read one of them, but don't recall what it was about. I liked it though. All I remember is that the main character got struck by lightning or something and got sent back in time. And it involved lilacs
Sethera
I've read the first few in the Rincewind series, Monstrous Regiment, and the children's books. So far I love it. I really recommend it to anybody who likes anything with fantasy/different worlds.
OMEGAcat
Terry Pratchett is easily one of the best living fantasy writers around. His prose and narratives are just so incredibly tight and well placed, every little turn of phrase he uses blows my mind. I read The Light Fantastic oh.....probably close to 7 years ago now. The phrase "grinning like a necrophiliac in a morgue" has stuck with me this entire time. World's gonna be a bit darker of a place when he finally passes :/
Christian Exodia
Rest in peace, Prachett.
bury the year
I'd always meant to read more of the series, but until I heard of Pratchett's death I only had read part of Thud!Well, that's changed. Bought most of the books in the Guards and Death series and have loved every one. I should really get back into reading more of them. They're all fantastic. The Reaper Man is definitely my favorite. Death's monologue at the end to Azrael is absolutely shiver-inducing.
