Kesha is an American Songwriter, Musician, and Rapper. She originally started singing background vocals and writing songs for other artists until her breakthrough with her album Animal.

Kesha is heavily influenced by music of the 80's, with artists like Queen, Madonna, and Beck being cited as important to her art in music as she claims. Her trademark during songs mostly comprises of Rap, yodeling, and excessive autotune. The last of it being under scrutiny from many as an example of what they claim is a lack of singing ability.

I honestly don't mind this singer, I like her songs, I like her style of music, and her yodeling is surprisingly good. Many people have problems with her but I just don't, in fact I think she is pretty good but whatever, autotune is looked down upon anyways.

So YCM, how much do you hate her? Mostly because I highly doubt that other than me there is anyone here who honestly likes her? I would love to be proven wrong however.

I like Ke$ha.

Yup.

I can understand why other people don't like her since she does come off as a little trashy and if you hate autotune, you'll hate her, but as for me, I find her songs catchy. Tik Tok, Blow, and Die Young are all songs I've listened to on repeat for ages.

It's funny cuz she is a quite respectable person irl.

She is the biggest parody artist. I actually like her because she can laugh at herself. She knows what type of talent she has (and she actually can sing, listen to "goodbye"), but she's purposely not the modest, down to earth type because she's basically making a mockery of such.

I don't think I can even explain it, but I enjoy how much she doesn't take her career seriously. She's hilarious.

I've really grown tired of her, but that's because she's the only thing my jackass of a roommate listens to and his headphones like to... spread the love. Other than that, I wasn't particularly fond of her in the first place. The whole "party hard, let's drink until we black out!" ethos makes it very hard for me to seriously consider any of her deeper themes, and her voice is incredibly squawky (even if it is AutoTune's fault and not her own).
