0. Standard contest rules apply here (duh!)

 

 

 

1. You must create at least 1 rank 5 or 6 xyz monster, it can
require specific types or attributes of materials, but must be able to be used
in various decks. Meaning that it can't be ulta specfic in what decks
its good for. Ex: heroic champion excaliber or number 39 utopia would
be examples of the not too generic aspect. If you have any
questions on this rule, feel free to ask them in this thread. 

 

2. Each entrant can create up to 5 entries, I will take the top 3
entries and give 40 points to the owner of each 1 (if someone entered
2 of the top 3, they get 80 points and so on).
 

3. Because of rule 4, no written cards unless you link to or post the
artwork.

 

4. I reserve the right to print out and use any of the entries in my
created card decks decks, however, I will not claim it to be my own
invention. If your going to use yugico, its fine but just link me to the
art so that I can redo the card with a higher quality program after.

 

5. Nothing TOO revealing in the art. I am much more tolerant then 4kids
of this but I'd rather not have something too over the top. If you are
unsure of your art, PM me it and I'll judge it. As a rule of thumb, if it looks
like its trying to hard to be sexy over being practical/realistic then its too
much but pm me if your unsure.

 

6. Judging will occur on or shortly after January 27th. The last day to
enter/edit is January 26th. This is negotiable and will be extended if there are
less then 3 entrants by then.

 

7. You do not have to post all your cards at once, and you may edit them as
you please once they are up, just have the final versions ready by the
deadline.

 

8. Since I don't want to throw good ideas out over OCG, I reserve the
right to correct your ocg and as we go and in the final submission (and you can
correct me right back if you have a source). This rule will not
negativly affect your score.

 

9. I have the right to add/edit rules

 

10. No pop culture cards

 

11. Number monsters are accepted, but if its likley that konami will make the same number at some future point, then that card most likley won't win. If your unsure about an entry, post your question in this thread.

but I noticed a few typos and had a few questions on some of the entries:

 

for warlord skull totem: I see some small typos, but more importantly when in the damage step does the destructive effect trigger? Before damage calculation like catastor, or after like neo bubbleman (both for example)?

I think that for the first effect, you combined 2 wordings into a weird chimera wording. Since I assume you got the first 1 from gachi gachi, but your trying to chain to the effect so the first part would be different. Did you mean [capitalization aside] "When a card effect that would destroy this face-up card is activated: you can detach 1 xyz material from this card; negate that activation and if you do, destroy that card." Also, the last effect should say "an xyz material" [caps aside], so says overlay regen:

 Sorry Just used to seeing the card on DN. DN seemed to have made the same error when I compared it to the wiki as the wiki used "three times per turn".

The card I was refering to was Enthusiastic beast coaching king (Or whatever it was called).

I see this proves how much I use DN :P
