evilfusion
No comment on name. I just dont really get it. Card is best Rank 1. Evil Thorn becomes playable with this in Piper Chaos or something, and Kinka-byo can have fun. Card's just really tough to get rid of sometimes, with solid DEF, relative spammability in Level 1 Decks, protected by battle once per turn, and can negate targeting cards by detaching. Lovely card. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I guess "NEET" doesn't translate well in most countries except for the UK, so I can't say I wouldn't expect them to change it, but "Slacker" isn't all that great of a substitute in my opinion. Anyways, I made this card for the first time the other day when I made a misplay and had to summon a Veiler to Xyz with my other Veiler already on the field... It did end up saving me enough LPs to win the duel, so meh.
Blake
Slacker's the closest substitute. There's no international way of saying she's a NEET or hikikiomori, so this is about the closest it comes... Yet, it makes her look like a lazy ass as opposed to a girl terrified of going outside,

.Rai
Apparently, the word 'recluse' doesn't exist in Konami's dictionary.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
By the way, there's a difference between "antisocial" and "asocial".
Cute Rotten Yoshika
None of them really :/ Nothing really wrong with being antisocial. in a societal sense, there absolutely is. name change isnt great because, as has been said, neet and hikikomori arent easily defined for western people. reclusive wouldnt have really worked either because it still does have that negative connotation. recluses lock themselves away for years at a time. i dont think konami would want to market a monster thats just "girl who doesnt leave house". slacker, however, isnt really a bad thing to kids. a lot of them call themselves slackers. being lazy is something they dont see as bad, so while its disappointing the name change does make sense. EmpoleMew
You people keep saying "wouldn't work because of negative connotations" like NEET doesn't have negative connotations.
Blake
You people keep saying "wouldn't work because of negative connotations" like NEET doesn't have negative connotations. In an international market where it's aimed towards children was the point. I know NEET/Hikikomori are negative, but the game doesn't target children in the OCG as much as the TCG. The Hounds Of Anubis
That Whacky Recluse Magician has a way better ring to it, and if they were really worried about what they named cards then we wouldn't have even got Oh F!sh. It's just laziness.

Althemia
They should've just kept Shyneet. They couldn't because what classifies as a NEET is different between Jap and America/Europe. :vThough this would of just been better with a different name, Slacker seems so incredibly half-assed

darkwolf777
Shyneet sounds fucking awful. Opinions are what they are. I like how it sounds, particularly the shy. Slacker has that hard consonant sound. Shyneed, due to the Shy mostly, seems more feminine than "Slacker" does.
