$3.99 for a CD? That's pretty f*cking amazing! I could never find music to my interest at such a low price. 

 

Also, that must really suck to lend your albums to a "friend" who ends up selling them. If someone sold one of my favorite albums, DOOM SHALL BE BROUGHT AMONG HIM :3

There's a few discount CD shops around here. Most of the CDs are used, but still in acceptable condition. You don't always find them for so cheap, but when they're relatively unknown, the shop owner usually keeps the price low in hopes someone (like me) will come in and snatch it up.

 

Yeah, it really sucked. He sold a lot of my favorite albums that I actually OWNED. It's alright though. He got his karma. (As for the avatar, I've had this for ages, but the new forum software replaced it with a picture of myself).

 

More on-topic: I just got some albums from side projects of the Gris members. Miserere Luminis and Sombres Forêts. So far, they're pretty good.

I used to be into a ton of black metal. Old Man's Child. One of my favs.

 

 

But I've kind of drifted away from the major death metal scene. Instead, I've been listening to a lot of melodic metalcore/hardcore and punk.

 

Atlas is pretty good. Pretty unknown too, but good quality and decent mix.

Sabaton is one of the only power metal bands worth listening to. Galneryus is okay, but they get a little tiresome after a few songs.
