ItstimetoDueeelll
"Where .... Where am I?" "Cameron..........Cameron...." A heavy whisper responds slowly... "Who are you? Tell me where I am!" "All has been forgotten.......It is up to you to find out the answers....." "Ahh!" Cameron screams as he awakens from the strange nightmare. Glancing around at his surroundings, he finds himself in a forest for some odd reason. Unable to remember anything, besides his name and general information about himself. ~Cameron is a white male, he has black spiked up hair and stands at a what some may call short height, of 5 foot 3. He has dark blue and silver eyes and is currently wearing a blue jacket with a black shirt and jeans with white and black sneakers. Cameron attends a Duelist Academy where he is rank 7 of the top 800 students.~ "What the..." He slowly whispers to himself and he gets up, staggering. Looking at the ground, he sees a pouch of cards and a duel disk. Cameron picks both up and curiously, begins to study with his eyes what they are, trying his best to remember what occurred before he blacked out and entered a nightmare. His study was cut short when someone yelled his name... "Cameron! Hey, over here!" "There he is, Cameron!" Cameron turns around and squints, seeing three people. Two boys and a girl. "Who are they....?" Cameron thinks in his head. The three individuals stop when they reach Cameron. "Hey, Cameron, what are you doing way out here?" One of the boys says. Cameron stares blankly at the three, looking completely out of it. "Dude, are you alright, you don't seem to good." The other boy says. "Don't worry....I'm fine....May I ask who you three are?" Cameron replies to them. "You forgot who were are? We've known each other for years man, I'm Chris, of course." Chris says. ~Cameron's observations showed Chris was a male, mixed skin tone. He had black hair, brown eyes and was a bit chubby. He was a few inches taller then Cameron, so about 5 foot 6. Chris wore a white shirt which represented the duelist academy. He had on some loose jeans, but on him it fit. Chris is one of Cameron's friends since they began at Duelist Academy and always had each others backs since.~ "Cameron, I'm worried, are you really okay?" The girls asks. "Don't be playing games here man, you couldn't have forgotten your good bud Eric here, right?" Eric cuts the girl off, and says to Cameron. ~Eric was a white male, blonde hair and hazel eyes. He was at least 5 foot 8 and was in good shape, which you can obviously tell by looking at his muscles. Eric was wearing a silver-tinted jacket, with a muscle shirt underneath. Along with shorts that went down a bit below the knees. Eric, like Chris, knew Cameron since they started at Duelist Academy. Although they get in a few altercations at times, they never leave each others sides and are true friends to each other. ~ "Guys, we should get going! Practice is about to begin, we'll be late! Oh boy, Aeron doesn't like it when we're late." the girl says, panicking a bit. "Marissa, chill. Cameron, you heading back with us to the D.A?" Chris asks Cameron. ~Marissa was a beautiful girl. A bit short, about 5 foot 1. She was white and had a flowing long luxurious brown hair, with blue eyes and a gorgeous body. Marissa wore a one-sleeve pink shirt and a tank top underneath, with tight jeans and sneakers. Marissa was the hot chick in the Duelist Academy who people viewed as the fake, rude girl who thinks shes all that. When Eric, Chris and Cameron met her, they came to realize the rumors of her weren't true and that she is sweet, nice and kind and a loyal friend.~ "Yeah...obviously, I was just kidding with you all earlier. I knew your names, just wanted to see your reactions." Cameron lies to them, giving out a fake laugh, trying to still figure out what is going on. "I knew it! Haha! Told you guys, Cameron's a kidder." Eric says loudly. "Come on! We cant waste anytime, we're going to be late!" Marissa pushes for them to go back more and more. "Alright Riss, keep your pants steady. Lets go, Cameron." Chris says. "Yeah, lets go." Cameron replies quietly. ~About half an hour passes and Cameron, Eric, Chris and Marissa finally reach the Duelist Academy~ "We're here!" Eric shouts in excitement, ready to practice till his hearts content. "Duelist Academy.." Cameron says to himself in his head, glancing at the large, castle-like structure that stands before them. A massive amount of people around the place, trading, playing, with cards Cameron forgot of what their use was. Suddenly, Cameron feels a sharp pain in his head, and falls on his knees holding it, dropping the duel disk and his pouch of cards he picked up earlier. "Cameron!" His three friends shout in worry. The pain soon passes and Cameron quickly assures everyone he's find. However, suddenly, he remembers what the cards are for. He remembers, somewhat, how they are played and what their use was for in the Duelist Academy. Duel Monsters. A card game where with this Academy's technology makes it feel like reality. Cameron picks up his duel disk and his pouch of cards. Attaching his pouch of cards to his belt. "Cameron, you don't want Aeron seeing you without your duel disk on during practice. Best put it on man." Chris tells Cameron. "Right..." Cameron replies, confused. After looking at the duel disk for a bit, he finds a spot where an arm could fit and he places it on. It was like a crescent blade, but not sharp. Supposedly, you place the cards in certain spots to activate them. A new upgrade was made though, by placing your hand of cards in a specific slot, the cards in your hand will virtually form in front of you, making it easier to look at. "Lets head inside guys. I believe we all have a practice match, Aeron, set up for each of us. Cant miss it now." Marissa tells them, and they all nod, running on inside. When they run inside, a deep voice stops them. "Why I thought you four were going to be late. Looks like you got here spot on time, not to shabby, eh." It was Aeron. The headmaster of the Duelist Academy. He was very bulk, mixed, with blazing red eyes that will intimidate you beyond belief. Looks like he was at least 6 feet and he wore nearly everything black, but representing the Academy as well. "Go on runts." Aeron yells as he tosses them each a small paper, giving the location of where their practice battle will commence. "Hop to it, you don't got all day." "See you guys around, this Willy-squirt, will have another thing coming!" Eric shouts as he speeds off. "Meet around the statue outside? I assume??" Marissa asks, slowly walking off to her practice duel. "Yeah, sounds good, see ya Cameron, Marissa." Chris replies, running off to his duel. Cameron opens up his slip of paper and reads it. "Secondary Lobby." Looking around, he notices a huge sign in the air showing locations of different areas within the building. Just up ahead from where Cameron is at, the main lobby, is the secondary lobby. With no hesitation, Cameron walks off to the secondary lobby. As he walks down the long aisle, he pulls out his deck from the pouch and begins skimming through the cards. Not being familiar with any of them due to his loss of memory, its better if he gets to see what they're made of before the duel. "Cameron you skunk for brains, over here!" A rude voice shouts. Cameron looks up and sees a red headed guy, with a small mohawk. Shirtless and in sweatpants. He is also seemingly well-built. "You are?" Cameron asks as he approaches the guy. "One of the top 5 of this pitiful academy, Delivore Jugaski, your opponent for today." "I see...Then are you ready to duel? Or are we just going to stand here and talk? I need an easy warmup." Cameron says, a feeling of confidence in himself flowing through his body as he slowly backs up to a certain spot, then stops. "You fool, I thought I'd spare you at least a few turns this duel but no one disrespects me! Prepare to be obliterated!" Delivore shouts then hops back into his spot. Cameron looks around him and sees over a hundred students in seats waiting to watch this duel. A rumble occurs which startles Cameron, then a field explodes from the ground, lifting up both duelists high in the air. The duel disk on both players react and start glowing rainbow colors and extend a bit more out. The field is massive. Like a huge battle arena and the only thing stopping both duelists from falling is a platform they stand on with a miniature grid on this table on their platform. The crowd is going crazy, the cheers can be heard from the dozens of feet that the duelists were raised. A thin wire bursts out the duel disk and attaches itself to the temple of each duelist. An announcer comes on... "It is time for the practice duel between Rank 3 Delivore Jugaski and Rank 7 Cameron Sota!" The announcer yells into the microphone. Both duelists take out their decks and place it into the duel disk. Which then sets both their life points with 4000. "Let the duel begin!" The announcer roars. [Delivore: 4000] [Cameron: 4000] "I'll go first and their is no way I'm going easy on you, punk!" Delivore shouts as he draws his 6 cards and Cameron draws his 5. They then place it in slots which causes huge virtual card images of the cards they drew to appear in front of them. Only the owner of the card can see what the cards are. "Lets kick this thing into full gear from the beginning, lets go!" Delivore yells as he pushes a button, causing three cards from his hand to pop out a slot, he pulls one out and whips it onto the duel disk. "I summon you, Lava Goblin, in attack position!" A massive goblin, whose skin is completely lava, emerges onto the field. It carries a lava enchanted mace. Lava Goblin (Fire****) Pyro / Effect If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, your opponent loses 500 life points, you can then special summon as much Lava Goblins as you can from your deck in face-up defense position. 900/1600 Taking out his other two cards, Delivore sets them down on the duel disk. "Then I place two cards face-down, and it's your move squirt!" Delivore says. Cameron draws a card and studies his hand. Not being familiar with his deck puts him at a very strong disadvantage, but he wasn't going to call it quits just yet. "You want to kick things up, then I'll be your guest!" Cameron shouts at Delivore. He presses a button and a card pops out, he pulls it out and places it on the duel disk. "Go Kao Swordsman of the Underworld! Smite his Lava Goblin to smithereens!" Kao Swordsman of the Underworld (Dark****) Fiend / Effect If this card is equipped with another "Kao" monster, it gains 1000 ATK and can attack twice per Battle Phase. 1600/1000 Kao Swordsman charges full throttle at Lava Goblin, lifting up his huge sword and smashing it into the head of the goblin, shattering its virtual body into shards. "Right into my trap! Pathetic you're so quick to try and finish me! With Lava Goblin's effect, when it's destroyed by battle, not only do you lose 500 life points, but I can special summon any amount of them from my deck!" Delivore roars at Cameron and laughs as two more Lava Goblins get summoned to the field in defense position. [Delivore: 3300] [Cameron: 3500] Cameron staggers on his platform as heavy winds from the destruction of Delivore's first Lava Goblin pushes at him. "Damnit, with those Lava Goblins on the field, trying to inflict damage to Delivore is like making my monsters strike at myself. I have to play defensive and find out a way to defeat those things without hurting my own life points..." Cameron thinks to himself. "I play one card face down and I believe it's your go now, Delivore." Cameron says aloud. The crowd continues to cheer as the duel continues... "What's the matter Cameron, scared you'll get burned?" Delivore says cockily, drawing a card from his deck. Glancing at the card, a huge grin forms on his face. "Tell me Cameron, how do you think a third degree burn feels on flesh?" Delivore says in a deep, demonic tone. Great friends. We also have almost no sense of setting, and the narration is pretty bad.

ItstimetoDueeelll
~~Previously on Yugioh Shattered Memories~~ "Where .... Where am I?" "Cameron! Hey, over here!" "There he is, Cameron!" "You forgot who were are? We've known each other for years man, I'm Chris, of course." Chris says. "Why I thought you four were going to be late. Looks like you got here spot on time, not to shabby, eh." "Go on runts." "Cameron you skunk for brains, over here!" "You are?" Cameron asks as he approaches the guy. "One of the top 5 of this pitiful academy, Delivore Jugaski, your opponent for today." "I summon you, Lava Goblin, in attack position!" A massive goblin, whose skin is completely lava, emerges onto the field. It carries a lava enchanted mace." "You want to kick things up, then I'll be your guest!" Cameron shouts at Delivore. He presses a button and a card pops out, he pulls it out and places it on the duel disk. "Go Kao Swordsman of the Underworld! Smite his Lava Goblin to smithereens!" "Right into my trap! "Damnit, with those Lava Goblins on the field, trying to inflict damage to Delivore is like making my monsters strike at myself. I have to play defensive and find out a way to defeat those things without hurting my own life points..." "Tell me Cameron, how do you think a third degree burn feels on flesh?" Delivore says in a deep, demonic tone. ------------------------------------------------------- ~~Ep. 2: A Practice Duel Like No Other~~ Delivore chuckles. A smirk on his face more disgusting then anything Cameron ever remembers of seeing before. "Oh boy. The fun is just about to begin, but lets play it safe for now." Delivore tells Cameron. Clicking the button on his duel disk, pulling the card out and setting a monster in defense position. "I draw!" Cameron says, pulling a card from his duel disk and setting it in the slot. Looking over his cards, he thinks that he's just going to have to rely on a complete beat down and try to wipe away Delivore's life points as quickly as he possibly can. Cameron clicks the button and takes two cards out. "I will start by summoning Kao Machine Blaster in attack position!" A massive metal ball forms in the air. Slowly, eyes of its own open and tentacle blades erupt out from its body. Swinging rapidly and causing a lot of wind to blast towards both duelists. Kao Machine Blaster (Light****) Machine / Union When this card is Normal Summoned, you can special summon 1 level 4 or lower "Kao" monster from your hand. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a monster you control. The equipped monster gains halve this monsters ATK and cannot be destroyed by trap cards. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. Once per turn, you can unequip this card and special summon it in your Monster Card Zone. 1600/1000 "I will then activate Kao Machine Blaster's effect, allowing me to special summon a level 4 or lower Kao monster from my hand!" Cameron informs Delivore. "Big deal, if you're just going to waste your monsters like that then go ahead. You worry me not at all." Delivore responds back, confident. "Hmph, I special summon Kao Mechanical Claw-Harpie, in attack mode!" Cameron says. Kao Mechanical Claw-Harpie (Light****) Machine/Effect If this card is equipped with a "Kao" monster, this card gains 500 ATK and your opponent loses 300 life points during each of your Standby Phases. If this card is destroyed by battle, you can return 1 Union monster from your Graveyard to your hand. 1800/1800 A mechanical harpie with massive wings and sharp claws emerges. It's bulk body hovers in the air and with every movement it's like embers form and fall down to the floor. "Then by using Machine Blasters effect, I equip Machine Blaster onto my Swordsman!" The huge metal ball in the sky starts forming into a long thing wire and it wraps around the Kao Swordsman. Covering it completely in its metal wire, forcing itself inside the Kao Swordsman. Kao Swordsman body begins to bulge with veins, as if he were on some type of strength increasing drug. He grows to a massive height, at least a few feet taller then he originally was. "That leaves Kao Swordsman at a destructive 3400 ATK points, and he is able to attack twice during each of my battle phases!' Cameron roars. "I need to clear his field, before he can summon anything stronger then those monsters he has already. Despite losing life points for it, I need to take this risk." Cameron thinks. "Kao Swordsman destroy both of his Lava Goblins!" With the order given, the huge monster on the field leaps forward plunging down his sword at one of the Lava Goblins, then he stops in midair. Flame bars appear around Kao Swordsman and he returns at his original position. "What's going on? What the hell did you do?!" "Activated my trap card, idiot. Blazing Steelcage. Leaving your Kao Swordsman completely helpless. Add to the fact you take 200 damage every time it's your turn, it is one of my favorite cards to use on strong cards of my opponents." Delivore tells Cameron then laughing wildly afterwards. Blazing Steelcage Trap/Continuous Activate only when your opponents monster declares an attack. Negate the attack and if you do, the monster whose attack was negated can no longer declare an attack or change battle positions as long as this card remains on the field. During each of your opponents Standby Phases, inflict 200 damage to their life points. At this point, it is clear to tell that Cameron is getting stressed out now. With his life points slowly being burned away no matter what he does, he feels as if he's already lost by now. "Your move...Delivore." Cameron says. Delivore draws a card. "About time!" Delivore yells with a wide grin on his face. "I will banish every monster on my field." Slowly, once those words were said, each of Delivore's monsters begin slowly fading away. "Then I will lay a card face-down..." Delivore says, clicking a button, grabbing a card and setting it. "Then it's your move hehe...." "Urgh..." Cameron grunts as his life points decrease due to Delivore's trap. [Delivore: 3300] [Cameron: 3300] "What is he doing? Banishing every monster on his field, leaving himself wide open to direct attacks. That's idiocy. Their is no doubt that within his next 2 turns, somethings going to happen. I'm not sure what though. He's very smart and a formidable opponent. I cant take him lightly, I know that. Do I try to finish him off now and attack or do I play it safe and go defensive, in case whatever he has in store is a powerful monster. No need for it to take a chunk of my life points if it is... I don't know...but I have to think fast." Cameron thinks to himself. "I switch my Kao Mechanical Claw-Harpie to defense mode, and that'll be the end of my turn." "Don't be a coward, show some brute strength with your pathetic Harpie! I assume though, you are probably scared and ready to call it quits. You might as well, because soon a monster of unimaginable power will set forth. I doubt anything you have in your deck can overcome it." Delivore says, still remaining confident, believing what he has in store will be the end. Delivore draws a card and just looks at it briefly. "I will set a monster face-down and let your turn commence." He says, smirking. [Delivore: 3300] [Cameron: 3100] "His tactics are so bipolar, it's hard trying to tell what he's going to do next. I don't think I can risk waiting any longer to see what he's going to do. I have to strike. I have to strike hard. With that trap still effecting my Swordsman, I need to end this duel quick." Cameron thinks to himself, drawing his next card and looking at it. "Perfect, with this card, as long as he doesn't have a trap to counter my monsters attack I'll be able to wipe away a good amount of life points from him." "Well, are you just going to sit there or actually face your defeat?!" Delivore yells from across the field. "First, I'll start off by switching Claw-Harpier to attack mode! "Then I'll activate Defense Incineration!" Cameron tells Delivore. Defense Incineration Spell/Normal When this card is activated, select 1 face-down defense position monster. Switch that monster to face-up attack position and reduce their ATK by 500. "Which leaves your monster wide open for a damage inflicting attack!" Cameron says. Delivore's monster is switched to attack position, revealing what it was. It was a small phoenix-like monster, its flames were blazing with red, yellow and orange. Baby Phoenex (Fire**) Pyro/Effect If this card is attacked while it is in defense position, it gains 1000 DEF during the damage step only. If this face-up defense position monster is destroyed by battle, you can special summon it to your side of the field during your next Standby Phase. 700/900 "Oh no, what on earth am I going to do?" Delivore says, not really caring. "Mechanical Claw-Harpie, Vertical Slash Attack!" Cameron roars. On command, Claw-Harpie dashes through the field, whipping its claw at the miniature phoenix and slashing right through it. Baby Phoenex smashes into virtual shards which scatter across the place, heavy winds blast at the duelists from the smashing of Delivore's monster. Both Cameron and Delivore cover their faces from the gust of wind. [Delivore: 1700] [Cameron: 3100] "I believe it's my turn now runt." Delivore says loudly, drawing a card. "Hmph..." He clicks the button on his duel disk causing a card to pop out that was in his hand. Snatching the card, he sets a card in defense mode and a card face-down. "Sorry for making my turn rather boring but ya' know. It's only a matter of time...Your go punk." Delivore says. [Delivore: 1700] [Cameron: 2900] "Why isn't he doing anything? Is he just going to let me keep inflicting damage to him?" Cameron thinks, drawing a card. "Excellent." He places the card he drew in his hand slot and clicks a button, another card emerging. He pulls it out and sets it face-down on the field. "I'll give you no breaks! Claw-Harpie, slice and dice that face-down of his!" Cameron yells to his monster. Claw-Harpie screeches and flies up in the air and smashes its claw into Delivore's face-down then leaps back into its original position. A salamander-like spirit monster flies out of the face-down card and shatters into pieces. Third Degree Burner Pyro / Effect You can discard this card from your hand to the graveyard to special summon 2 Pyro-type monsters with 1000 or less ATK. Destroy these special summoned monsters at your opponents End Phase. 200/300 "Your move!" Cameron says. "Now is the time, little Cameron! I activate my trap card, "Nightmare Dragony Arrival!" Delivore roars in excitement. Nightmare Dragony Arrival Trap/Normal After banishing 3 Pyro-type monsters that were on your field, you can activate this card during your third Standby Phase after the monsters were banished. Then special summon 1 "Nightmare Dragony" from your deck. The whole field begins to erupt with lava and the whole ceiling begins to get cloudy with dark mist. "What, what is this?!" Cameron asks, shocked. "The end for you!" Delivore yells then he laughs maniacally. The lava that was erupting begins to spin in circles in mid-air, slowly forming a massive dragon created of pure lava and hardened rock. It's power was so immense that it was possible to see the energy of it whip around the field. As it continued forming, it's eyes became noticeable. They were pitch-dark red, which may leave people intimidated as if they were in actual hell itself. The monsters wings expanded, stretching over two dozen feet. It was only till it was done forming, where you actually saw the true, horrific side of this monstrosity. Cameron stood there, staring at the huge dragon standing before him. Shocked, completely. Like the crowd was to. "It has finally arrived..." Delivore says somewhats loudly. "This.....this is what he has been waiting for..! If I thought I was in trouble before....I'm in trouble now." Cameron thinks to himself. ~~**TO BE CONTINUED**~~
