My name is Brent Hauserman, also commonly known online as DeadMichael. I am a writer, college student, gamer, and player of both Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic the Gathering. I had done a fan fiction before called Yu-Gi-Oh! NXG, which focused on my love for the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series and a new generation at the Duel Academy. It never ended up getting popular here, whatever the reason for that was. I've decided that I will try to bring it back one last time. HOWEVER, things will be different this time. Yu-Gi-Oh! An amazing sight to behold; tall skyscrapers as far as the eye can see, card shops on every block, duelists facing each other everywhere. It's one of the greatest locations for dueling in the known world, but has a dark secret. The mayor, Valentin Damascus, rules the city through fear. He controls the government of Verna with The Society, a vigilante group of criminals. He then pretends to work on apprehending them in order to gain favor with the sheep living in the city and it's suburbs. Very few know the truth, and I am one of them. I know what Verna City truly stands for.[/center] [center]Built to grant the dreams of the hopeful and bring dueling to new heights, Verna is where people go to strive for that legendary title; King of Games. They say Yugi Motou himself once lived here, but those are just rumors and heresay. In other words, everyone who's anyone lives in Verna City, and those who don't dream of moving there. It's where the greatest duelists in the world live, even they do not know what is going on. I too wish to one day join the many who travel to the city. I wish to rank my name among the dueling greats. But most of all, I want to uncover the conspiracy behind Verna and stop The Society and their ways.[/center] [center]Everyone who's anyone lives in Verna City, and those who don't move to it. They all want to become the greatest duelists alive. They strive for that legendary title started by the great Yugi Motou years ago; King of Games. That's why Verna was built, to grant the dreams of the hopeful and bring dueling to new heights, give the up-and-coming young duelists the chance to prove themselves. People dream of going to Verna City their entire lives, including me. Unfortunately, I've not yet made it to the big city. though I dream every night of the days when I'll be dueling in the big leagues alongside the greats such as Alexis Rhodes and Blair Flannigan. Maybe I'll even get to meet them in person, or better yet, the great Maximilian Pegasus! I will make it some day. I will become a pro, I just know it. For now though I remain in Baiman, a suburb just west of Verna City. It's small and normal, nothing special. My family and friends all live here with me, it's where I first learned to duel. I love Baiman as much as anyone, but I will leave it in a heartbeat to accomplish my dream.[/center] [center]Today is my seventeenth birthday, and it's time to finally try again. I get to return to the Verna Housing Company to apply once more for an apartment in the city. Every year since I turned fifteen they've denied me, saying I was too young to go on my own. And when I offered to take my mother with me, they came up with other excuses. Now they have nothing. I'm of age to live on my own. I have all the other required conditions. This is going to be the greatest birthday of my life, I just know it. Verna City, prepare yourself! The Rockin' Rollin' Duelist is on her way! So basically, I have little figured out as of yet. I need your help though. I need character ideas, location ideas, etc. I ask that you give me your created duelists and areas, maybe some good deck recipes that I can utilize (must be compatable with the Over the Nexus game.) and whatever else you wish to share for helping. Pursuing both passions, he became known as the Pot of Greed Politician, and soon became world champion in dueling. However, he put his career to an end when he decided to run for office. He became mayor of Verna City three years back and is in his second term. He rules the city with an iron fist and has cleaned up the criminal involvement in the city. They are both incredibly good duelists. They are an excellent duo when teaming together having never lost a tag duel together. But don't underestimate them when dueling separately as they are still incrediblly good. Isabelle flirts with every guy around which annoys Ryno who is slightly over protective. Not sure where the Hometown is yet thinking somewhere inside Verna City.
