Welcome to Animation Procreation!

 

Before we continue this tour, let me just say one thing:

This has nothing to do with hentai, yaoi, or anything of the sorts.

Procreation is simply symbolic of the process of how this group will

work together in order to create something truly beautiful,

even if it is a little rough around the edges....

Now let the tour commence!

[spoiler=What We Are About]This group is about anything and everything related to making animations, GIFs, pretty much anything that moves and helping its members improve (or even help them start) their journey of being a part of the animation process. Either it be the beginning stuff like creating the story board, the script or even concept art to making process of animation, voice acting, etc; this group is here to welcome everyone in and help out![/spoiler]

 

[spoiler=Who's Allowed In]Everyone! Whether you want to join in hopes of finding inspiration, just to be apart of the scene, or to get/give help with creating an animation, everyone's welcome! Don't have any skills when it comes to animation, voice acting, concept, etc? That's fine! Join up anyways; you can learn along side the rest of us as we travel down the wondrous road of animation![/spoiler]

 

[spoiler=What's Required]All you need is your creativity and willingness to give it your all! As for programs, art supplies, voice recorders, etc., that varies from person to person. Wanna know what need for something? Just ask and we'll answer to the best of our abilities![/spoiler]

[spoiler=The Rules (Dun dun duuuuuun!)]For now, the group will be pretty laid back, but if people start getting stupid, I'll start getting harsher.

• All YCM rules apply. I have a link going to them, so no excuse of not knowing them..
• Do not flame or be disrespectful towards your fellow member because of their creative work and/or opinions.
• Remember, real criticism includes both bad AND good pointers. Tips are a bonus as well.
• No one word/picture/emoticon/vid posts. If you post up something of your creative work, give some context to go with it.
• The host has the final say within the group while (club) mods have almost final say.
• And please, for the love of making it easier for me and to save space for the front page, keep your "I want to be a member" form simple.. Look at mine (Aisu) for what I mean.

Mako109 (aka Mako † CRUX)

Skill(s): Well, I'm a writer. I could probably edit very well. I guess those would count under Story Board. I also can voice act, if to a minor degree.

Reason(s) for joining: Well, for one thing, if I ever DO manage to release something I want animated, I'd have a place to go. Furthermore, clubs are cool, I'd like voice acting and writing tips, and who knows? Maybe I'll get into the whole "animating" thing.

Skill(s): Voice Acting (Amateur) and I do a bit of Writing here and there.

Reason(s) for joining: Want to get working with other types of animation to voice act in, other than normal fandubs. Plus I wanna help people out! ^^

Skill(s): I am a decent script-writer, and as such, I can be of use in the story board department. I have also learnt how to use Adobe Flash CS4 through a book, and as such can operate as an amateur(-ish) animator if need be. Unfortunately, I don't have Flash on my computer any more, although I intend to buy it legitimately this time, and once I do, I will be glad to showcase some of the basic animations that I can do.

Reason(s) for joining: Well... I always wondered what it would be like to see a Live Action Role-Play of sorts, even if it were to be as snippets at a time. I personally think that, as long as they're done well, these snippets of Live Action Role-Play have the potential to draw role players into a particular franchise that they have never really been familiar with, and can perhaps even add new role players into YCM as a whole, and encourage role players to finish their role play with sparks of imagination. I'm also expecting this experience to help me become a better Flash animator in general, which is something I wanted to work on for a while now. Though I must admit that licensing problems have put me off trying to learn any further :/

AixDivadis

Skill(s): Any sort of writing, storyboarding and stuff like that... I guess. I am a decent artist, and I suppose I can do concept as well. I have never seriously animated anything, though I know how to use Adobe Flash, not including the Actionscript part (well, I can do basic buttons), however, I do not have the program.

Reason(s) for joining: For fun, I guess. I want to draw, I want to try stuff and I want to be in a club :3

Cinnamon Star (Be nice to her, she's a site mod! OwO; )

Skill(s): Character concept, proof reading. I think I'll be mostly here to provide ideas and give input to what people are working on. I enjoy creating things and am a seamstress in training, so I could probably help out in the concept department. Used to write a bit as well, so proof-reading is fine to me. Never done voice-acting, but I would really be interested into trying it. perhaps for minor roles though

Skill(s): I've been voice acting for a while, though in nothing major. I DO have more experience writing however. And I can draw pretty okay, so I'd also be able to make storyboards I guess, though I never really tried. I DID have a stick figure comic called Buggasault back in 6th through 10th grade though.

Skill(s): Character concept, 3D modeling, 3D rendering, a bit of voice acting

Reason(s) for joining: I've been wanting to get back into animation, but unfortunately I'm not that good at animating, just rendering still images. Still, if necessary, I can render some pretty good images.

Agro

Skill(s): Writer, plot development, character development, writing/story critiques, proofreader, sometimes I'll draw something, idea bouncer.

Reason(s) for joining: I saw the name and thought this was a hentai club. I'm happily mistaken.

Smear

Skill(s): Well, the main thing I want to do is become a Graphic Designer, although I've always wanted to do some animation. I do sometimes do a bit of writing.

Reason(s) for joining: To learn a thing or two about animation, get better at a few things and help people out. :3

Kyng

Skill(s): Writer (Both Script & Story writing), Plot & Character development, writing/story critiques, Proofreader, in-depth researcher, potential voice-actor

Reason(s) for joining: Because Aisu (<3), Chaos, Opal, Agro, Smear, & DL are here, so this club has a lot of the people I like around here. Also, I guess I could make some contributions; I do want to get more involved in clubs.

Rin-Chan

Skill(s): I voice act, and go over character development.

Reason(s) for joining: This looks fun as all hell.

 

Yan-Tsundere Barrel (formally known as Thar.)

Skill(s): Voice acting: I have a headset and a hobby of talking to myself in several different accents. I'm also fairly decent at sound effects. Writer: I'm trying to get into the habit of writing more often, but that's only with the novel format. As far as scripts, dialogues and screen-plays are fun to put together. Proof-reader: Comes with the Grammar Nazi complex, and having taken a developmental writing course prior and an expository writing course currently, I can see if this trait can come to use. Character concept: I love coming up with new characters, albeit filling out an entire application is an exception.

Reason(s) for joining: Mostly for the voice acting. I can do all the other stuff listed, but only on free days where I'm not doing much anything else.

 

I am not I am Who I Am! (formerly 'Iamwhoiam')

Skill(s):  I draw some manga scripts when I'm bored or inspired so I think I can be a great help in some storyboards. I can draw well and I write some stories and stuffs. I'd never tried voice-acting so maybe you can help me.

Skill(s): To put it simply, I excel in novel writing along with voice acting (However, I've never been apart of anything that involves voice acting, so anything that interests me here I'll gladly join). I like writing as I can easily be in the moment, though that's harder to say with voice acting. But, hey, it doesn't hurt to try, right?  ;)

Reason(s) for joining: I like to be able to do more than just write novels. I'd like to be able to be apart of projects involving voice acting so my voice could be heard by all. That, and I have a few things I intend to mention in the future. So, look out for any ideas I spring out. You'll never know when they'll appear.[/spoiler]

It's my old name. I'll be changing to it as soon as I can without spending points.

Basically, it's the name I use everywhere, and I typed it down by instinct. Everyone just calls me Mako, though, so it hardly matters at this point. xD

Well story board doesn't have to be perfect pictures for the animation. Its just to help figure out timing, show how the animation is gonna go, etc. It's like a less detailed comic strip, if ya wanna look at it that way. I haven't tried it, but I'm thinkin' about giving it a shot once I get completely used to my art tablet.
