Susie
I know a little bit of guitar but I had gotten quite bored of it Because there wasn't much versatility with guitars You'd just play the strings, tune it and maybe add some effects onto it But it still would always produce a guitar sound.
Sorry, but I had to. There are many different styles you can play with guitar, actually; I'd say that it ties with Drums for versatility; which makes it first place, under Voice then Piano. But it's not just that, it can be really fun to play. I used to be in a band (quit recently after having to pay £50 to a guy because the singer got us a gig, but didn't tell us how much it costed and very few people turned up) but when you're playing with a band, it can be great fun. Especially with certain riffs and such.
I'm talking about the sounds themselves You can play many different riffs, chords etc. But I still can't get my head around playing any of that stuff myself There are limitations towards what you can do with a guitar And that's what I can't get my head around Even if you are a professional with guitar you still can be limited in some ways With the sound itself, you always will have a guitar sound, you can't really change the guitar sound Unless you have effects and you can tune it up Styles aren't what I speak of, it's the versatility of the sound itself
And again I seem to mess up with what I'm trying to say What I meant was that I can't really sit down play the same sound over and over Even though it may be a complete different riff or completely different chords I am still playing a guitar sound I wanna be able to have an instrument That I guess can do more than a guitar can I guess the best thing to say is that I just prefer synths as a musical instrument On a synth each one has it's own individual sound, parameters, and flexibility There's just that sort of flexibility that you can't reach with other instruments

ListenToLife
While I value your opinion Moog, I'm gonna have to say that it is a good thing that most musicians dont have that opinion. Or else we'd have very little music nowadays. Every instrument has that; it's own unique sound. Which is why there are lots of instruments. Even synths have that Synthetic, electric tone. It's the whole point. Pianos will always make a piano sound, Guitar will always make a guitar sound, etc etc.

The Hounds Of Anubis
Eh, well, I may just be active here since I'm always a fan of trying to expand my music taste as well as others'. What are your favorite genres: Post-hardcore, metalcore, pop-punk, melodic death metal, power metal, punk rock. And I'll listen to a lot of stuff, except for basically most rap/hip-hop, some R&B and most electronic music. Can't stand anything that's not in english, though. Your favorite band(s): Silverstein, The Offspring, D.R.U.G.S., A Skylit Drive, Ice Nine Kills, Enter Shikari, Funeral for a Friend, Idlewild, Muse, Rise Against, Sharks, Sleeping With Sirens. (No, I can't narrow it down to less than this.) Your favorite solo artist: Taylor Swift How frequently do you listen to music: 26 hours a day, 377 days a year. Fusion X. Denver
I think I like the guitar work in Avenged Sevenfold's songs more than their lyrics, but I'll tip my hat to them; they're a solid band. DL, those Breaking Benjamin and Hollywood Undead songs are going on my iPod. I have all their albums on Spotify.
Spotify? Pffffft. I have them all in real life. Plus a Vinyl of Sufferer and the Witness. xD (not that this is a contest or anything ) Rise Against were my favourite band for quite a long time, from when Sufferer and the Witness came out, to recently, where I started to get a little bored of Endgame(it's just not quite as good as the other Albums). I can play quite a few of their songs, my favourites (to both play and listen to) are generally the acousitics. Swing Life Away is their best song, in my opinion. Enter Shikari are also quite good, but not amazing. At least, from my perspective. Decent, but probably wouldn't become a favourite band.

The Hounds Of Anubis
A Flash Flood of Colour is personally my favourite album of theirs. I just really love the style to it (idek why), and the whole album fits Rou's voice better. Take to the Skies and Common Dreads are amazing too, imo, of course, but Flash Flood just sounds better to me.
