4/5 Stars

A good comedy with some good dialogue and a great plot.

Barbera Streisand doesn't lose her ability with age does she? This great comedy involves the struggles between a mother and a son who at this point wants to stay as far away from her as possible. The comedy is hilarious, the dialogue is great, the acting from Streisand is the highlight of the moment and the chemistry between Rogen and Streisand is just fantastic.

I have to highlight Anne Fletcher's magical abilities when it comes to pacing. She was so spot on with each scene that it was great for the story and kept it coherent and I also liked how she involved many characters but at least two of them were non-existent. She has a dynamic way of directing that deserves more praise.

One thing I have to point out is Seth Rogen's acting. Although he is a good actor in his own right, I honestly felt he was a bit sloppy in this film. In some scenes it just felt like he didn't care about his role while in others he sort of mumbled his way through. His chemistry with Streisand however kept the movie in good taste.

This movie is great and one of the few good comedy films to come out this year by comedic director Anne Fletcher. The dialogue is great, the acting is superb from Streisand, the scenes are well paced, the comedy is funny, and the plot is nice and coherent. The only problems really being Seth Rogen's acting and the occasional obvious green screen scene, the same problem that mostly plagued This Means War.
