Sixty
The new sketch now looks like a tree-from of Zero from KDL3. But I'm putting my money on this guy being Ghost/Grass.
Flame Dragon
So, the weakness for Fairies. Thinking Fire, and Poison for sure. Maybe Steel, and Flying. Anything else? If memory serves Immune: Dragon Resist: Nothing Weak: Poison, Steel Super Effective: Dragon, Fighting, Dark Not Effective: Fire, Psychic. I'd like to see Normal be super-effective against Fairies. I honeslty wouldn't like normal dueling 2x damage. Its a normal attack what about it are you weak to. 'Cept Fairy beats Dragon, because Fairy also implies a magical/fantasy aspect to it. Since, you know, in fairy tales, the hero(usually a knight) slays the Dragon and saves the princess. Yea, magical nature spirits. Some media do show dragons as being weak to magic. Toffee.
Yea, magical nature spirits. Some media do show dragons as being weak to magic. But magic isn't always nature-made, which is what I'm getting at.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
If memory serves Immune: Dragon Resist: Nothing Weak: Poison, Steel Super Effective: Dragon, Fighting, Dark Not Effective: Fire, Psychic. Oh, didn't realize the type matchups were confirmed... Well, Still think Flying could make sense as a weakness, and I wonder why it's not effective against Fire. Yea, magical nature spirits. Some media do show dragons as being weak to magic. To be fair, there are plenty more that show them having a resistance to magic.
Airride
Fairy not being resistant to anything doesn't make much sense to me. Granted, Normal has no resistances either, but it's supposed to be the neutral type (Mostly...) Also, I think Spritzee has become one of my favorite Pokemon so far. I also really like Clauncher but they're in opposite versions which is saddening. I'm going to have to go through a hoop or 2 to get my preferred team by the looks of things... Flame Dragon
But magic isn't always nature-made, which is what I'm getting at. But the thing that ties magic and nature together is the Fairy. They are often magical beings and often have some ties to nature. Oh, didn't realize the type matchups were confirmed... Well, Still think Flying could make sense as a weakness, and I wonder why it's not effective against Fire. To be fair, there are plenty more that show them having a resistance to magic. They aren't, but this is what the leaks said. As it stands it certainly seems like Dark and Fairy have some kind of connection. And yea, that is true. I'm honestly just making best guesses. Fairy not being resistant to anything doesn't make much sense to me. Granted, Normal has no resistances either, but it's supposed to be the neutral type (Mostly...) I'm going to have to go through a hoop or 2 to get my preferred team by the looks of things... It might be partly for game play reasons. The types its weak to aren't good attacking types, the types that resist it aren't good defensive types, and the types that it deals super effective damage too are all good types. Making it only have 1 good defensive match up is a trade off.
.Rai
There's all sorts of illogical match-ups in Pokémon typing. With Fairy-Type, it's inevitable that you're going to end up with degree of mechanical justification instead of flavour justification (basically because the type is pretty narrow). Grunt Issun
I doubt those are ALL of its type advantages so far. The leak might not even be right. The next Corocoro is supposed to have HUGE news, so we might see some stuff there.

Heh...But anyway, Fairy still has more to it then we know. I mean, outside of the fact Dragon does 0 damage to it, and it does 2x damage to Dragon. If its only advantage, it has 3 huge types it hits for 2x damage. Plus 3 is about average for that. Also, while it may have only 1 good defensive matchup a few types only have a couple already so it isn't that strange.
Sixty
What if the huge news is that this is the last generation? .-. I wouldn't really be surprised. Second gen actually was supposed to be the last gen, but third and onward had to be made because of its popularity. Since Pokemon is still the most bloody popular thing ever, I'd expect a seventh gen, eighth gen, and onward as well. There are a bunch of avenues that can be explored with the introduction of a new pokemon type and new game format.
Cin
Eury that would be too much of a slap in the face. Given people's tendency to milk things if it works.
Grunt Issun
I'm pretty sure when they say "Big news" they mean big news about in game content. And they're way too good at milking money to stop here.
CMRenji
I keep wondering about all the possibilities for evolutions/pre-evolutions for existing Pokemon. I have a gut feeling that this gen will have a lot of those. Maybe one for Mawile, or Pinsir, or Shuckle. I'd love to hear about those in the trailers if they do plan to add some of these cool guys. People said that about X and Y... Heh... But anyway, Fairy still has more to it then we know. I mean, outside of the fact Dragon does 0 damage to it, and it does 2x damage to Dragon. Fairy, Dragon, and Steel seem like they could be made to form a new trifecta like Fighting>Dark>Psychic or somethin. That might be nice. Give Steel a bit more of an edge. :
The Warden
Except Renji, that Dragon is not very effective on Steel. Meaning that the Dragon type would need to be part Fire/Fighting/Ground in order to harm what it's supposed to be harming.
Grunt Issun
If there are new evolutions/pre-evolutions, I'm counting on one for Dunsparce. Dragon/Fairy, aw yeah. Seriously, though, Dunsparce has an amazing movepool and horrible stats. All it needs is an evolution to bee good.
-Berserker-
Speaking of movepools and stats. I wonder if they have plans for Flareon this generation?
EmpoleMew
Speaking of movepools and stats. I wonder if they have plans for Flareon this generation? And maybe Cinccino will get a BP 60 physical Ground or Fire move to abuse with Technician and not get walled by Steels. I can dream.
Astro Dude
Viola, Grant and Clemont. That's three of the eight. When do the other five come into play? Plus what types do Grant and Clemont specialize in?
Grunt Issun
Wait, you mean people use Cinccino without Skill Link? Personally, I think it'd be better if it had a multihit fire move, at 25 power like all the others. A 60 power move would get boosted to 90 power by Tactician, but a 25 power move would hit for 125, which is significantly better.

~British Soul~
Speaking of movepools and stats. I wonder if they have plans for Flareon this generation? If they don't, then they should. Flareon does need better physical fire moves (and other physical attacks).
