Shradow
Well, so far my team will definitely be having Froakie and Honedge. I'm not absolutely sure about the others that have been revealed so far, though I still like all of them.
Astro Dude
The sword will be called "Honedge" and yes it will learn Swords Dance.
The Warden
I wonder if the Balloon hold item will permit Pokemon to join in on flying battles, probably not, still...
~British Soul~
The new Pokémon is to be known in English as Honedge and some details. It is now known that Honedge comes into being when a departed spirit possesses a sword that once belonged to humans. It can use the blue cloth attached to its hilt as nimbly as an arm. Pokémon Trainers who carelessly take this blade in hand may find the blue cloth wrapping itself around them and draining their energy! Honedge can also learn Swords Dance. It is 2'07" and weighs 4.4lbs.
Shradow
While his sheathed self looks awesome the blade itself is kinda dull by comparison, so hopefully he'll evolve into something more ornate. Or maybe he'll become something like a haunted suit of armour, now that'd be kinda cool.
Fusion X. Denver
So far, my Y team'll be Chespin and Fletchling, maybe Honedge depending on when you can get it. I'd maybe go for Helioptile, but I'm not big on it being part Normal.
Toffee.
FletchlingConsidering Flethling is this gen's pidgey, I wouldn't doubt it if everyone had it on his/her team.Plus, Flethling is cool.
~British Soul~
Yeah, Fletchling is a cool pokemon considering it evolves into a Fire/Flying-type.
Kingdom Xathers
... I will find a way to make a Pokemorph of Honedge... ( : | ) Also, betting on Honedge to learn Stonedge. Calling it now.
Grunt Issun
I shall capture this "Honedge" and I shall name it Amoracchius. Or Excalibur. They're the same sword anyway. Personally, I don't find there are THAT MANY ways you can make the blade itself ornate, unless you do something fancy with the hilt. Or go all out and make it into Chrom's Falchion. Also, that is a REALLY SMALL sword. The sword, as a whole, is 31 inches, which means that the blade is even shorter. The blade probably isn't even two feet long. Legend Zero
Hexcalibur or Excaliboo are the two best names I've seen people nickname him.
Shradow
Heh, puns. But yeah, I've decided to go with Kitetsu. If the character limit will allow it, I might go the full name with Sandai Kitetsu.
Aerion Brightflame
If Hondege evolves, I can see it doing one of two things, assuming it's 3 stages: Either it evolves into a greatsword, and then into a Suit of Armour. Or it evolves into something like a sword and shield... and then into a suit of armour. Just evolving into a suit of armour would be amazing. I just though about Sky Battles. If they became a Multiplayer thing, what would the tiers look like? (Aside from Raquasa being at the top)
Shradow
Dude. Golurk in Sky Battles.
Grunt Issun
I doubt they would be multiplayer, but if they were, things with levitate instead of flying type would be higher tier, since they wouldn't share the common "Rock, Ice, Electric" weaknesses that everything else in the tier has, and thus, things with access to those types would be high tier as well. Following that logic, Moltres, Charizard, Gyarados, and things like that would all be not that great, because they have 4X weaknesses in a restricted battle style. But really, it just seems like something for the in-game. A way to make tons of money, because IIRC, Sky Battles give way more money than a normal battle. Shradow
When have you ever needed money in Pokemon? Literally, and I do mean literally, the only times I've ever bought things was buying 10 Pokeballs at a time to get Premier Balls to catch legendaries. in. Grunt Issun
Underleveled at the Pokemon League? Healing items, y'know?
Shradow
1. I find level grinding enjoyable. (And even then, I've rarely had to do so in Pokemon, not even for the League.) 2. By the time you get to the E4, unless you're terribad and had to constantly use items along the way, you should have an absolutely huge assortment of them just from your travels. Grunt Issun
I never challenge bosses if my Pokemon are higher leveled than them, that makes it infinitely less fun. Anyway, on the actual topic of X&Y, I personally don't see this Sword having an evolution. If it does though, a suit of armor would definitely be the best way to go, and it'd be pretty cool. Shradow
I've pretty much always been underleveled when fighting Gym Leaders and E4 anyways.

The blade probably isn't even two feet long. But if we factor in Pokemon-scale, it's actually pretty big.At least... To the beings it's around. Fusion X. Denver
I've only ever bought Poké Balls for my journey and then Hyper Potions and Revives for my E4 runs. Occasional status item, but nothing major. I think an armored knight evo for Honedge would be cool. And it should learn Drill Peck and make that a big move again (assuming it's not). Grunt Issun
Personally, I always like to be overprepared. If the money is burning a hole in my pocket, might as well spend it. I can't see a sword learning Drill Peck. It looks like a slashy sword, not a stabby sword. If it doesn't learn Ariel Ace, though, a move that's literally BASED on a sword strike, I will be so dumbfounded.
