Water/Fairy and Normal/Fairy (Or maybe just Fairy? I'm not sure if the Normal-Types are becoming fully Fairy or just have it added on.), respectively, I imagine.

Just added on. Jigglypuff is Normal/Fairy.

What does that make Azumarill and Wigglytuff?

Obvs the same type, but you also have to remember they have baby forms as well.

Obviously petting some pokemon is going to look at the least a bit akward, but all that looks like a nice addition imo.

The Fairy type being real is such a good thing.

It seems so far away ;-;

It seems far too close to me, I'm getting at least 3 games around that time and definitely want to finish a couple I'm currently playing by then. But I so get it... it all looks so awesome. ;~;

This is unconfirmed, but supposedly, Fairy Pokemon are weak against Steel and Poison-Type attacks.

Thats what was said in the leak we got back when we first learned about them. If memory serves

Attacks deal X2 damage vs. Dragon, Fighting, Dark

Attacks deal X.5 damage vs. Fire, Psychic

Takes X0 damage vs. Dragon

Takes X.5 damage vs. Nothing

Takes X2 damage vs. Poison, Steel

Wow.
So, with this whole "Sylveon vs Hydreigon" thing they are promoting, Hydreigon doesn't stand a chance.

So Fairy. What is that even? I get Dark and Steel, but what are the moves gonna be, magic?

Not necessarily. You could interpret this as having some elements of the Fairy-Type of Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters.

When I think of Fairy in YGO, I think of angels, and weird shapes.

How many times are you really going to face Steel/Poison moves? Seems a little overpowered. I know the bad guys usually go for Poison/Dark/Flying, but outside them how many trainers do you face have those moves?

And what happens to the move moonlight?

That's the point. It gives Steel and Poison moves some credibility and a new Type to play off of.

I don't like the Dragon immunity because it means Outrage can't really be used most of the time if your opponent has a Fairy. Regardless, strengths against Dark and Fighting are good and it also gives stuff like Drapion another weakness which is always nice.

Actually, with the introduction of Fairy-Types, it means that Tynamo, Eelektrik, and Eelektross are the only Pokemon without any Weaknesses, as Spiritomb and Sableye have a Weakness to Fairy.
