Tourmaline
That's bland and disheartening to read from both of you, though much more Zumar. I wonder when the idea of being adventurous and creative to try more fun and interesting sets in efficient ways went away enough that you'd simply assume tiers are what they are and that people can't try to use actual intelligence (which is creativity much more than anybody else thinks) to make inspiring ideas. Tiers are based on usage and not ability, so finding a perfect idea would keep the Pokemon in whatever tier unless you make the set public. Tentacruel
And that's why I don't play competitive. Not referring to anyone here, but people will actually ridicule you for using Pokemon outside the tier. It becomes way too mathematical.
Tourmaline
I had this as my signature before, but if any of you have ten minutes to waste, you can see a Pokemon outside its own tier do very well in a much higher one. That is to say you (Tentacruel too because he's nice) should watch this:

Well that's why tiers such as UU/NU exist, it allows you to use more fun pokemon and have a bit more creativity, whereas OU is intended to be battles between the best Pokemon for whatever reason. It's like Yugioh, if you want to be competitive you have to use the best stuff, it's alright to have fun but you can't expect to do as well as you would and there's almost no way to fix that. Tourmaline
You're either disgustingly inexperienced, bigoted or seem to refuse to understand what I'm trying to say. I'm telling you that REGARDLESS of tier, a lower tiered Pokemon can still do well in a higher one. Better than whatever or most other options OU has available. Please actually read what I'm saying or don't discuss with me at all.

I'm telling you that REGARDLESS of tier, a lower tiered Pokemon can still do well in a higher one. Better than whatever or most other options OU has available. Please actually read what I'm saying or don't discuss with me at all. Of course it's possible and obviously there are certain pokemon that are decent in OU such as Togekiss/Machamp/Sableye/Ninjask/Umbreon/Staraptor/whatever but I'm just saying that generally you're better off using an OU pokemon in place of it. Generally the best teams are made solely of OU pokemon or occasonally have 1 lower tier Pokemon to fill a niche such as Sableye or Ludicolo. I'm not saying it's out of the question for a non-OU pokemon to do well but generally I'd rather use an OU pokemon. But you're right, there is a small amount of personal preference and I do see people using random things you'd never expect to great effect e.g. I remember being swept by an Archeops. -Berserker-
What I want is to have the gyms in certain order, so we face certain types later. For example, I think we haven't had a high level Rock-Type gym since Gen2 and their remakes. Why can't they make Rock the last gym and Dragon the first? Ren✧
I would love to see the Dragon gym as the first, it would be incredibly funny and a slap in the face for all those dragon lovers. I am still hoping for a Dark gym. And this. one of my largest hopes is either another double battle gym, or even better, a double battle elite 4. I'm hoping they get to resist Electric attacks, mainly because: A.) Rocks need more resistances B.) It makes much more sense Psychic types need a boost as well, since they're a bad typing. Making them no longer resisted by Steel would be nice, since it resists enough to begin with <_< ... Water needs to die down a bit as well, but the best way to do that is probably by introducing a new type or two.
Flame Dragon
I was actually talking to the moderator. I'm trying to say that you don't have to use Pokemon deemed worthy for OU to use lower tier Pokemon to more efficiency than what you would find in OU. My example is Gyarados, which I found to actually be a superior Gyarados if you use it well. And Hitmonlee is great as hell. Do you knot what Hitmonlee does, anyway? Fake Out is fantastic. Um......what? Gyarados is a superior Gyarados? Assuming your talking about Gatr and I'd have to disagree. Hitmonlee is a fine Fake Out user but I'd rather use Top and that isn't even an OU pokemon. And your just calling me the moderator? That, um......something. Hmm, I thought Machamp was OU o.O Wonder what made me think that. Snorlax is pretty inferior to Blissey because there's not much it can do that Blissey can't that can't be done by other pokemon. But you're right, a pokemon that isn't OU isn't OU for a reason - there's something OU that's better than it. Snorlax can hit hard so is more of a tank than a wall. If your looking for that Snorlax is a fine pokemon to use. When did I ever say you couldn't do this. Hell, I more or less said people are going to use UU pokemon in OU because they want the extra challenge. And yes, you can use a pokemon very well, its just harder. Again, thats what I've been saying. Why take the harder path to use something that doesn't have much of an upside. Your goal is to win and it best way to use it is to use what ever it is that is the best. Once again, think of Pokemon like a TCG. You can easily play a tier 2 deck and do well with it, but its harder and forces you to really know what your doing. Same is true of pokemon. Cin
Took me a while to figure out what the high level rock gym in gen 2 was...Brock. Which doesn't have a fixed number position (I played HGSS and played Kanto gyms in order) Weekly segment in Smash for X and Y sweet. May not all be new, but with 5 months to go we've gotten barely anything. Speaking of which, any recommendations on the best place to pre-order? (Don't say Amazon, I don't plan on paying for P&P just for me to get my pre-order on time, when otherwise it would have been free, unless Amazon can get the game £3 less than elsewhere. What hurts more...is I have an Amazon warehouse within walking distance)

Making them no longer resisted by Steel would be nice, since it resists enough to begin with <_< That's hilarious considering how ridiculously powerful Psychic was in the first generation. Also, a double battle Elite Four would be great. Bonus points if it acted out more like the multiple trainer battle thing.
Astro Dude
Kinda makes you wonder if two of the elite four members will be twins for a double battle.

Nicο
Kinda makes you wonder if two of the elite four members will be twins for a double battle. Not really. I mean, why would it be twins again? It may be Elite four and not Gym Leaders, but you don't need to be twins to be good at double battles. I'd rather not have the second important double battle like that just be twins again, and I'm a twin. (speaking in the main games sense, don't really even know about other games having double battles)
Admiral_Stalfos19
That's hilarious considering how ridiculously powerful Psychic was in the first generation. ...my point still stands. Psychic needs to be boosted. Water and/or Rain needs to be hit and Dragons need to be hit as well. That's the main things I'd like to see metagame wise... apart from Blissey being downgraded. ... In-game wise, I'd like to see a Jynx evo, a Tropius evo and a Yanmega evo. Oh, and Fake Out should totally be a TM/Tutor Move. That would be awesome! Mr.WHAM
So do you have any news on the Jynx evo amd all that...like the new Mews.. And as far as non OU pokemon being used I would love to use Toxicroak as a character refernce b/c BW2 made him amazing. Drain punch w/2x swords dance the rain and thats that. I would also like to reiterate the point that a water/poison is possible and more feasible as well as a Grass/ground since you have toxic frogs and groundhogs for Froakie and Chespin respectively. Spellcaster2000
I would like proper co-op. Maybe if you challenge a gym it becomes a double battle (only in co-op) and you battle with a friend :) I can imagine it like Dragon Quest 9, one player joins a friends game. Only the player hosting can progress and get badges and stuff, but both can get levels. When the player who joined goes back, they keep levels and stuff but don't get badges they earned. ... Or would people abuse that? Example: A: Hey B, I have Level 100 Pokémon! Come face the E4 with me and you can have tough Pokémon even though you have only just started your game! B: Sure A would 1 hit KO the E4 with legendaries at level 100 or whatever and B would just shoot up in levels. Hm...
