Jord200
Its not just Combee. Only a female Snorut can evolve into Frosslass. While I doubt this new Eeveelution can be male, have you all forgotten Ralts, Kirlia, Gardivor, Audino, and I think Lopunny?
Blake
Its not just Combee. Only a female Snorut can evolve into Frosslass. While I doubt this new Eeveelution can be male, have you all forgotten Ralts, Kirlia, Gardivor, and I think Lopunny? You missed his point. Combee are 1 female for every 7 male. Eevee are the same. Snorunts are 1-1 ratio. Ralts are 1-1 ratio. And it was only a theory, based on the fact that this seems to have at least a bit of a Chromosome basis, and the fact that it's X and Y. It's nothing solid of course.
Nicο
It also kind of looks like a Milotic version of Eevee. I mean, not that much. but Milotic is 50/50. And that thing at it's neck looks so very slightly like a bowtie. To me, it doesn't look all that much like it has to be female. But that doesn't mean I don't think that being the case doesn't make sense, it really does, because of that whole at least a but of Chromosome basis thing. Ren✧
I could see it as being a normal type, but I always imagined Eevee's natural evolution matching Eevee's original color scheme more. I am rooting for Flying type. The ribbon-design and light blue endings on the ears definitely give me that feel. The color scheme as a whole gives a feeling as flying. Toffee.
Gallade's effeminate?Gallade, despite its appearance is a guy-only species. Not to mention Gallade is explicitly a male only evolution.Gallade isn't effeminitanite D8Honestly, I forget why I included him.(That, or the joke I had in mind sounded better in my head)Regardless, "girly" Pokemon can still be strong fighters. Agro
I'm gonna make another call for a new type. Ninfeon could be LIGHT. If it's a Nymph, like FinalFan suggested, it'd be a fairy, meaning it could be LIGHT Xerneas could be LIGHT to be the opposite of Yveltal's probable DARK. Adding a new type into the game comes with a metric ton of baggage. Anything is possible, but adding a new type is near the very bottom.
Toffee.
New types were only really added in Gen 2, for the most part, to balance things out.Psychics were damn near invincible, and needed something to hate on them more then Ghost/Bug did; Dark has full immunity to it.Steel, on the other hand, I honestly forget why it was added. Likely as another counter to psychic. The only think that resisted it was other psychic types and it might have been thought that dark alone wasn't enough. Also, first gen nothing resisted dragon, and while it wasn't much of an issue then they might have felt it could become one so they added something to do so. Toffee.
Yea, that would explain Steel better.Though, if anything, Dragons was just to serve as a final boss of the game, considering...Bulbasaur - GrassSquirtle - WaterCharmander - FirePikachu - ElectricDragon resists all the starters from the first gen, it was also Lance choice of Pokemon, so it would, more or less, just be a stronger opponent to face if you used your Starter against it. Cloister
The new Eeveelution is called Ninfia in English according to Bulbapedia... Kinda weird. Or is that perhaps not its final name?

Shradow
Most likely, as whatever its name is, it'll end in -eon.

Flame Dragon
Well, it was only in 4th gen when the Eeveelutions started getting the ending tie in their names. I mean Umbreon's name is Blacky in Japan.

Legend Zero
I'm sure everybody has seen theories for everything for the new eeveelution. (light, bug, flying, normal) http://adventuresofanawesomeguy.tumblr.com/post/42957764497/ninfia-nympheon This is a different take, not that I believe it. Blake
Seems like the best theory so far, to me, though I'm a bit reserved about it.
Ren✧
Would still prefer a Flying type -eon over a normal type changer. But I don't think the theory is probable either so...

Ren✧
The more I look at it, the more I think that it's a ghost type... hmmmm That would be disappointing. The ghost eon needs to have the same kind of 'pissed off' look Leafeon/Espeon has and it needs to be...more ghostly. If this turns out to be a ghost-type...I will be even more disappointed in nintendo.
Agro
Espeon and Leafeon don't look pissed off D: And honestly, I think it'd be a really cool looking ghost type. You're basically stereotyping ghost types.

You're basically stereotyping ghost types. Indeed I am. Ghosts should remain ghostly...not pink and fluffy. I shouldn't say pissed off. Perhaps indifferent would be better. Or in Espeon's case, teasing.
