*looks at Wii* Yeah... that was cool.

Anyway, my biggest worry is that they think Fire starters have to be Fighting because it's "classic" or something stupid like that. Or they make it Fighting just to troll us.

...Armz, you do realize when they said they're pure they only mean their base forms, right?

This Fakemon looks way more badass than some of the existing pokemon....i'm looking at you seismitoad....I hope pokemon will look as cool as this. Not just another trubbish

I just realized Bulbasaur is the only starter Pokemon with 2 types from the get-go.
That's kinda crazy actually.

Its less crazy when you remember that in gen 1 every grass type ever was part poison. (Its really 9/14, but w/e)

Maybe it's just me, but for some reason, it seems a bit early for a new generation; maybe it's because I never really got into B/W and haven't played B/W2 yet. Anyway, from what I've heard and seen of these games so far, they look amazing. I think I'm gonna get the one with the bird (X, or am I getting them mixed up?) just because the bird looks badass. As for the starters, I'll have to see what the final evolutions look like and what their types are, but it's a tie between the grass one and the fire one right now. Although, I swear to god, if the fire starter turns out to be Fire/ Fighting, I will shank a b****.

I'm excited for these games though, they look amazing. Hopefully, I can get a 3DS before they are released here.

Gen 5 is the second shortest amount of time between gens.

Because I'm a facts wizard, gen length based on Japanese Release
1st Gen: 2/27/96 - 11/21/99 Almost 4 years.
2nd Gen: 11/21/99 - 11/21/02 Exactly 3 years.
3rd Gen: 11/21/02 - 9/28/06 Almost 4 years.
4th Gen: 9/28/06 - 9/18/10 Almost 4 years.
5th Gen: 9/18/10 - 10/xx/13 A bit more then 3 years.

Yeah, there's been a 4 year gap between Generations 3-5, but 6 will come after 2.

Counting the start in Japan its actually 3. 2 and 1/2 for everywhere else.

By the time X and Y are released, it will have been 3 years since the start of Gen 5 in Japan, the same amount of time between Gen 4 and Gen 5.
Your off by a whole year.

Announcement was only a week ago. Doubt we'll get any new information for weeks. Months even
My best guess is the next time we'll hear info on the game is in April, maybe March.

Every Grass type ever was me acknowledging the fact that not everyone is part Poison. Knowing that people wouldn't catch that I editted in that its really 9 out of 14. That is still a super high ratio.

This is also why people say Rock takes no damage from Electric, half of the Rock types gen 1 were part Ground. The 6 that weren't were fossils, meaning you never really saw them in game. Ironically those 6 are all weak to Electric.

Aren't they always though? Big surprise that it is so with this gen.
Well... a couple of my friends were saying that Fennekin might be a Fire/Psychic, so.. yeah.

There's no point to baby pokemon.
The only one I can even try to justify is Tyrouge because it has a split evolution. There's no reason we need Pichu.
There's no point to Shiny Pokémon, though people still waste their time on them.
