Toffee.
Emboar was a Pokemon version of Ganon. It was sexy. Guys, Fennekin probably knows some Psychic moves just for concept. Its like how Vulpix knows Will-O-Wisp- I'll just copy+paste from Bulbapedia since I'm a lazy:
Vulpix, like Ninetales, are based on foxes. However, in Japan there are certain legends concerning foxes, or kitsune, as they are known there. One such legend which relates to Vulpix the most is how many-tailed foxes can breathe fire, create illusions, and have extremely long lifespans. After living a long time, these creatures take on spirit forms, which may be the reason why these two related Pokémon can learn Ghost-type moves.
Movepools don't always determine type.
Yes, that's a possibility... But Fennekin is based on a Fennec, a desert fox. Fire and Psychic could mold well together for a Mirage based pokemon, allowing it to create and manipulate them as it sees fit, on a grander scale than a basic illusion. At least, in a lore/flavor sense. It's not solid, at all, but the elements in it, along with that attack, hint towards Psychic typing coming into play. Also, Emboar was awful. It was ugly, was far worse than both Infernape and Blaziken, and was just outclassed in general.
Toffee.
Wait, if Fennekin is a desert fox~ Could end up as Fire/Ground, and then have a few Psychic moves thrown in. Or the other way around.

Agro
Desert Fox would give it a chance of 4 typings: Rock Ground Psychic Ghost All of which we've had before though :< By the way, what typings have we NEVER seen before? As far as I know a ton were covered in gen 5. *starts making a list* Fire/Ice, Fire/Water, Fire/Grass, Ghost/Psychic, Ghost/Normal (and a lot of other Normal), Psychic/Dark, Electric/Dark, Electric/Psychic, Dark/Steel, Ghost/Steel, Fighting/Flying, Electric/Grass... what else? Agro
Okay, I have a full list. Tell me if I missed something: Bug/Dark Bug/Dragon Bug/Ice Bug/Normal Bug/Psychic Dark/Electric Dark/Normal Dark/Psychic Dragon/Fighting Dragon/Grass Dragon/Normal Dragon/Poison Dragon/Rock Electric/Fighting Electric/Fire Electric/Grass Electric/Ground Electric/Ice Electric/Normal Electric/Poison Electric/Psychic Electric/Rock Fighting/Flying Fighting/Ghost Fighting/Ice Fighting/Normal Fighting/Rock Fire/Grass Fire/Ice Fire/Normal Fire/Poison Fire/Water Ghost/Grass Ghost/Normal Ghost/Psychic Ghost/Rock Ghost/Steel Ground/Normal Ice/Normal Ice/Poison Ice/Rock Ice/Steel Normal/Poison Normal/Rock Normal/Steel Poison/Psychic Poison/Rock Poison/Steel I probably missed something. I considered reversals the same. Note that Yveltal and Xerneas are probably one of these new type combinations like Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem were last gen. Master of Sabers
Dark/Ground exists. Krookodile. Electric/Ground exists. Stunfisk. Electric/Ice exists. Rotom-Freeze. But other than that... I can't think of anything. Good job.

King of Games
Galvantula, SawBuck and Bisharp exist. This chart could also help (be sure to click 'Show all types') Probably to type with the fewest combinations is Normal. Some more Fire or Electric mixes would be cool.

~British Soul~
Chespin being Grass/Dark would be terrific, as his last stage would probably look like a BAMF that way.
