I like Doublade. Considering all we've seen so far is ONE PICTURE of it and a still of it's battle animation, I have hopes that it's not gonna stay in one position all the time unless it's attacking. Like the swords with unsheathe or the shield will move in front when the opponent attacks or something.

Whatever, I plan on using it cause I think it looks cool and it has fucking NO GUARD.

Never had a Pokemon with No Guard (I know it's only been a 'hidden' ability so far), is the never miss against yourself worth the never miss against the enemy?

About Doublade I just remember only ever seeing warriors with one sword not two, maybe just a shield and sword would have been better than 2 swords. I wonder if it's weight is going to be correct (like Magneton weighing more than 3 Magnemite (60kg compared to 18kg) and Dugtrio weighing more than 3 Digletts (33.3kg compared to 2.4kg))

I've also never had anything with No Guard before, but I imagine it's worth it. Able to hit enemies while they're flying/diving/digging/etc. as well as not having to worry about low accuracy on moves is great. Also, moves with lower accuracy have higher chances to hit past Protect/Detect. Of course, you have to worry about these yourself, but at least you can plan for it.

Also, outside of battle it increases wild encounter rates by 150%, so that can be useful for grinding or if you're looking for something.

One thing I always wanted to do but never got around to was get a Golurk with No Guard, since that's its hidden ability. Always hitting DynamicPunch would be great.

It goes in line with my theory that they were trying to nerf Nuzlockes in gen V.

I feel like they disapprove of Nuzlockes because it goes against the original idea of the game, so they're trying to make then much easier, unlike Platinum.

This just means people will add new restrictions to Nuzlockes, but still feels like an attempt to make them too easy to be worth doing.

Couldn't people just not use the item?

That's the thought that went through my head, but I dunno, I hope they don't make it too easy even without the item, that'd be crazy. Having it worth doing without still sounds possible to me. Then again, I've only nuzlocked twice.

Not sure what to think about the item myself, though. Could be cool, but I'm wondering just how easy it could be with it.

(I know it's only been a 'hidden' ability so far)

I've seen Machoke in Platinum.

It's never only been hidden. But yeah, I agree with Shradow for the most part.

And I think Duoblade looks okay. Though I think most if not all Pokemon look okay-awesome.

You make the Machop family sad :c

Just imagine if Doublade gets a OHKO move.  Thankfully, OHKO moves are banned in competitive play.

I don't see why it wouldn't learn Guillotine. Its like...perfect for Doublade. And there's always the fact that Guillotine only works on lower leveled Pokemon.

I hope it'll get Hypnosis, Will o'wisp

Was hoping the same thing, more so Hypnosis.

If Doublade gets a One-Hit KO move, then Hoenn is confirmed.
(Since, you know, the last ONKO move we got was Sheer Cold, and it came from that era)

How would that work? Why would that confirm anything?

Excuse the double post, Doublade confirmed to learn Sacred Sword.

It can? Huh. Didn't expect that.
