Phantom Roxas
Everyone's jumping on the hate train without even realizing what its based on... And it has No Guard. This thing is awesomesauce.See, I was going to hate it, but then I remembered Magneton and Dugtrio, and the fact that this means I get two ghost swords for the price of one. That image though? Holy God, that makes it even better.
Fusion X. Denver
Eh, wynaut. It could've been a little better, sure, but I'm fine with what it is. Wanted to see a 2nd Eeveelution though...
Birkeland
In regards to No Guard, is there any good moves Doublade could use? I believe all Ghost moves so far have perfect accuracy.
Toffee.
Welcome to the family, bro. ??????????????Aside from that, I actually like how Honedge evolved into more of a coat-of-arms. Plus, I like the fact it actually DID evolve, which means it won't just be a 1-off Pokemon, but something that can get stronger in-game as well. Also it had No Guard even before it evolved. EPTinYugi
Looks... stupid. They should've done shield and sword, but it does look good when its about to attack. I wonder what's next, triblade, maybe? Maybe not.
CMRenji
They should've done shield and sword. I wonder what's next, triblade, maybe? Probably. I feel meh towards the new evo. I do like its color change tho~

EPTinYugi
It IS shield and sword. Doublade is a coat of arms. I actually talking about one sword, one shield combo; with a much more bigger shield for greater defense, but the design is kind of fine either way. I do wonder if there will be a next evolution. Eury
Exp All v.2 sounds absolutely amazing. Bait and switch isn't as good, but hot damn. It really does. Masuda said in an interview they're trying to make it easier to train Pokemon.

Blake
It goes in line with my theory that they were trying to nerf Nuzlockes in gen V. I feel like they disapprove of Nuzlockes because it goes against the original idea of the game, so they're trying to make then much easier, unlike Platinum. This just means people will add new restrictions to Nuzlockes, but still feels like an attempt to make them too easy to be worth doing.
Cin
Well that evolution was disappointing it did look cool as a first form, but it's second form isn't really inspiring. EXP ALL sounds good.
Phantom Roxas
??????????????No, you're missing the point Eury was trying to make. Klinklang and Vanilluxe are symptomatic of the thought process behind these designs, yes, but Mangeton and Dugtrio show that these designs people get all up in arms about have been a thing since Generation 1, which a lot of people act like is completely perfect and wonderful and everything after it simply wasn't as good. And just in case you're going to cite Garbodor, I invite you to have a chat with Muk. Or better yet, let me introduce you to a friend of mine. Blake
Arm was just citing further examples of such, I thought, especially because people hated those designs but were the same archetype of design. Personally I like Garbodor more than Muk because it's actually a garbage bear, rather than a pile of sludge, but to each their own.
Phantom Roxas
Oh, I agree, the trend needs to stop and Klinklang and Vanilluxe aren't helping matters, but I thought Eury was trying to show that this was always a problem. It's a vicious circle, I suppose. Anyway, I was trying to show how Magnezone proves that even Pokémon lines that do succumb to that can be fixed. Eury
Point I was making is that Doublade is much, MUCH more than just 2 Honedge. They designed him with a Coat of Arms in mind, and all everyone was seeing was 2 Honedge. It was bothering me with people saying "Its just another Magneton or Dugtrio" when its not. He has his own unique design and people are hating on it for that. :l

Sorry with my whole "Should've gone with shield and sword" act; the design is more creative than that. I just think people just expect more of the later generations after red when it comes with designs.
Shradow
I think Doublade is awesome, before even taking into account the coat of arms bit, and I love its color scheme. And No Guard makes it more amazing. I mean, it's no phantom suit of armor type deal, but I like it.

Sixty
Late to the party, but I think Doublade is pretty damn sweet. I'm literally unable to further contain my excitement for this game. October 12th, get here already!
Legend Zero
Doublade is meh in my view. You kinda expected it at one point or another. I do like Exp All and revamping some moves.
Toffee.
As far as "Combination Pokemon" go(Dugtrio, Magneton, etc) go-It's only really Dugtrio you can't really explain. I mean, at least with Magneton, it makes sense because they are magnets and everything; They magnetically stick to each other.Doublade isn't just 2 Honedge, as the shield behind it serves as being part of the concept of it turning into a coat of arms. Also, I'm calling it now, that it learns one of these moves:
