Aerion Brightflame
Fletchling evolves into Talonflame, so far as we're concerned. They've made no mention if its a 2 or 3 line evolution. I meant Talonflame evo. Not fully remembered the names yet. I mean, I'd love for it to be a 3 line one, because Talonflame doesn't feel like an end stage bird.

One reason people think there's another evolution in the line is because Fletchling has 1 line while Talon has 3. Another one with 2 lines, or one with 5? But Fletchling to me does not look like it would evolve directly into Talonflame.

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
It's actually a sheath: Oh, I know. I didn't mean a literal cocoon. Not sure how to explain, but it just to me looks like something that still has some growing to do.

I love what they're doing with this gen. Keeping details at a minimum and keeping us guessing. Absolutely LOVE the anticipation.
-Berserker-
There needs to be a tiki and/or mask Pokémon. You made him cry I hope we get evolutions for pokemon of previous generations other than Eevee.

Eury
If there is a flying Eevee on the way Hate to be that guy but it won't be. :c It'll be Poison, Steel, Dragon, or Fighting. When Eeveelutions are made one is stronger than the other. Umbreon had advantage over Espeon, Glaceon over Leafeon.
Tentacruel
It will definitely be Dragon because of how Fairy is being introduced as a counterpart to Dragon. So yes. I'd be willing to place a bet on it.

Kakashi Hatake
Guys, what if, and bare with me here, what if they don't make any more eeveelutions for X/Y? What if instead, they make a new evolution for something that actually needs one, like say, not Eevee? Eevee is the rope of cloths that the magician keeps pulling out of his hat. Yeah, the colors are nice, but eventually, we're gonna need to see something else.

Yeah, the colors are nice, but eventually, we're gonna need to see something else. its a pattern they're not going to stop. Every other gen, the gen that focuses on Evolutions, there will be 2 Eevees. Johto had 2, Sinnoh had 2. XY is next in line, and will most likely have 2 as well. Because of Eevee's genetic coding, it adapts to any environment it is put in meaning that it could evolve into potentially any type. Whether Pokemon lives long enough to see Eevee get every type I do not know, but GF won't stop making evolutions for it.

Eury
I don't care either way I just see no reason to NOT have a second Eeveelution, ESPECIALLY when people have wanted a Dragon evo forever and they have the perfect opportunity to do so. That, and they don't break patterns in Pokemon.
Kazooie
It's not really a canon thing or anything, but it's worth noting that every type that was Special BEFORE the Physical/Special Split has an Eevee... Except for Dragon. Oh and honestly, if I had to put Fairy to a Physical / Special category pre-split I would certainly put it in Special. So if there IS another Eeveelution, I would kinda prefer to be Dragon over Fighting, just to keep this little "theme" they have going.

For example, I could say that the pattern of Pikachu's tail being the same until separate gender appearances was introduced was a pattern being broken. Eury
Y'all are just finding patterns out of nothing and calling it canon. For example, I could say that the pattern of Pikachu's tail being the same until separate gender appearances was introduced was a pattern being broken. Except its not a pattern out of nowhere its an actual pattern in the games. Another example of a pattern is a Pikachu in every game. Marill family, Plusle/Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga, now Dedenne. Another pattern would be a trio in every region. One of the notable patterns this time around is that XY falls under the game that focuses on evolutions WHICH THEY ARE DOING. Kanto was new, Johto did evolutions, Hoenn was new, Sinnoh did evolutions, Unova was new, now Kalos is doing evolutions. This particular pattern is the Eeveelution pattern. Every other gen, the same gens that focus on Evolutions, do two Eeveelutions. And why would they not? Its a fan favorite Pokemon that is known for its various evolutions. It makes perfect sense for them to continue the pattern and keep releasing them in pairs. Also, what you said isn't even a pattern. That was a Pokemon's design and then in Gen IV they introduced Gender Differences which altered Pokemon's design based on Gender. Not a pattern in the least.
