Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

Tentacruel

Recommended Posts

Now pretty much the only thing I need to be completly satisfied.... multiple saves.

Also, I pre-ordered Pokemon Y, and I'm so excited. (I think they made a mistake though, they said that I could get it October 1st, isn't it 12th? Could someone elaborate for me so I don't have to ask them?)

Hopefully Tyrantrum and Aurorus both get 515 BST like Aerodactyl does. Then they'll be better than all the other fossils to date :3

Kabutops/Omastar are Rock/Water
Aerodactyl is Rock/Flying
Cradily is Rock/Grass
Armaldo is Rock/Bug
Rampardos is pure-Rock
Bastiodon is Rock/Steel
Carracosta is Rock/Water
Archeops is Rock/Flying
Auroros is Rock/Ice
Tyrantrum is Rock/Dragon

Speaking of them potentially being better...
Tyrantrum probably has the better deal.
I mean, since it's half Rock, so people typically opt for Grass or Water moves(unless you were paying attention), and Dragon resists both of those.
Although, on the other hand...
Auroros is doing STAB Returns with 150+ power.

Yea, fossils have given us a LOT of different combinations for Rock types. Strangely, no Rock/Grounds ones. Meh, I'll take it.

Problem with Rock/Dragon is it has a ton of weakness. Steel, Fighting, Ground, Dragon, Fairy, and Ice. It can hit two of those types back for SE damage, but that isn't the greatest list. Granted Rock/Ice being 4x weak to Fighting and Steel is a ton worse already. Not to mention is is also weak to Rock, Grass, Water, Ground. Poor Rock and Ice types, so many weakness. They really should have given Ice a couple more resistances.

Jord in theory that should mean Pansear and Pansage too. Since we've heard no Gen 6 with get Mega Forms in XY I wonder what else is. Hoping I get my Guide the same time as the guide.

I thought Pansear being in the regional pokedex was implied back in January when the game was revealed. The same with Psyduck as well.

All these older Pokemon, makes me wonder just how many new Pokemon we are actually getting.

There's a pattern every other gen. A gen will focus on new Pokemon, then the next will focus on evolutions of previous generations.

Kanto was all new

Johto had new evolutions

Hoenn had new Pokemon

Sinnoh focused on evolutions

Unova was new

Kalos falls into the pattern of expanding evolutions. I don't see us getting more than 120 new Pokemon, if that.

If you look at the number, iirc, Gen 2 added 100 new pokemon while Gen 4 add 108 new pokemon. My guess is this one will add another 100 or so.

I want the shinies to be desirable not just for their rarity, but also because they look good. For example, the Red Gyarados was impressive-looking, while the bronze Groudon is plain ugly. A shiny Zapdos doesn't look different enough to the normal one, while a shiny Metagross will really get your attention.

What I mean is, make their alternate colors look good.

lol yeah. Fenniken's is pretty good though, but that doesn't mean much when it isn't a final evo.

Groudon and Kyorge donated their shininess to Rayquaza in order to make his shiny look as cool as it does.

But yeah, I love impressive shinies. Like shiny Entei~
