Kakashi Hatake
Is there a list of all the Pokemon who are getting a mega evolution? Or do we just get whatever is given? Whether it's fake or not, ( think it is), this is probably the best full list you're gonna get until they're all really announced. Jord200
I was going to say I thought I remembered that the list was fake, then I noticed there was a Pokemon on the list, that was recently added to the Pokedex. Could be a coincidence.

Could be a coincidence. I'd say It's still better off if we say it's fake until/unless all the Pokemon on there get confirmed Megas, I mean there are several reasons it looks kinda fishy, and it was pretty much confirmed fake anyway. Jord200
I know. I found it, and said it had been proven to be fake. One of the main things was it had Zangoose, Mawile, and Sableye, but not Seviper. Another thing is it lacked Hydregion, yet everything else in that class of power was there. It won;t make a difference either way. :/

Toffee.
We already had a fire based enemy in games-To be fair...(Pardon the language of this, of course) I really don't think garchomp needed another evo..... /:It didn't, but it's still cool. Blake
The list was confirmed fake because the Japanese section for Gen 5 says Unova, not Isshu, the Japanese name for Unova. There's no sense in depending on it at all when it's fake.
EmpoleMew
I saw the words 'such as Houndour', does that mean I can hope Houndour/Houndoom are in game? We've seen Houndour as both a Pokemon used by Team Flare and in two different trailers featuring Horde Battles, once against Froakie and another against Gogoat. It's pretty safe to say that they're in the regional dex.
~British Soul~
I know it won't happen anytime soon, but one thing I'd like to see is Acid having the chance to burn the foe. To be fair... Preetty much, I mean they were after a Ground-type Legendary, used Numels, Baltoys and Camerupts, hell in the TCG there was Team Magma owned Rhydon and Aggron (Which I know isn't a ground-type). Guh.Either way, Houndour being accessible early game seems pretty amusing.hell in the TCG-TCG logic is much, much different from actual in-game logic. The Warden
Honestly though, Hydreigon is ridiculously powerful, even for a 'pseudo-legendary'. It has a powerful S.Atk stat, great moves and looks pretty neat. So we HONESTLY want that thing to become even more powerful?

Garchomp was an Uber for a short while, Salamence can curbstomp most things with it's huge attacking stats, and Tyranitar is a monster in every sense of the word. NONE of them need a Mega evolution. Shradow
I can see it now, Ghetsis comes back for Gen VI just to make people cry with a Mega Hydreigon.

Garchomp was an Uber for a short while, Salamence can curbstomp most things with it's huge attacking stats, and Tyranitar is a monster in every sense of the word. NONE of them need a Mega evolution. Difference being that Gen 6 does nothing but buff Hydreigon. Sure, it has a little trouble with Fairy, but now it has less natural friction with Steel, can run a perfect/near perfect coverage set still. I'm not going to proclaim the end of the world just yet, but Hydreigon not giving a fuck that Steel is a thing >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fairy being a thing. It already has very few truly competent counters to it, and the lack of fear of steel makes running Fire or shitty Focus Blast less of a thing it has to do. Dark Pulse is now a much better move choice, seeing as it's STAB is only resisted by Dark and Fighting, and then it has Dragon and a number of tech choices such as Flash Cannon, Surf, and more to deal with other issues like Fairy. Only issue i'm seeing is that Fighting types still hurt Hydreigon, but then you remember that Ghost got a huge buff this gen as well, which has Gengar looking even better than he was before because, once again, he doesn't NEED to run Focus Blast because of the steel nerf, and Fairy doesn't mean jack shit to him; So he counters basically every Fighting Type and couldn't care less bout the answer the gen gave to Dragons without giving a fuck. Did I mention Gengar is countered by Hydreigon, making it one of the reasons to put Focus Blast back ON Gengar, as opposed to itelf? This could cause an even heavier roundabout, but Gengar and Hydreigon are both shaping up to be really good in XY Format. Do you want them to be better like that? CMRenji
I'm just saying that no pseudo needs a Mega form. And Hydreigon wasn't the only thing to recieve a boon ya know. Tyranitar is essentially God with his Crunch now. And I never have much issue with Hydreigon personally, but that's likely because I like to run bugs. Eury
the whole Steel thing with Hydreigon doesn't really mean that much. Okay, he can STAB Dark Pulse without resistance. He already runs Flamethrower or Fire Blast which are MUCH better options against any Steel type not named Metagross, Jirachi, or Bronzong, in terms of the Gen 6 type chart. The whole "Steel doesn't resist Hydreigon anymore" point is retarded in and of itself because if you choose to Dark Pulse over Flamethrower/Fire Blast you're stupid. Gengar is the only one who really gets a boost out of this. Hydreigon will stay relatively the same.

And the implication of Dark Pulse was the fact that X/Y make Ghosts way better than they are now, at least in the all around point.
Flame Dragon
Oh no, he forgot to write down Fairy resisting Dark even though he mentioned that it has options to deal with Fairy types! Cause its not like every pokemon carries moves that deal with types that resist their stabs.

Cause its not like every pokemon carries moves that deal with types that resist their stabs. Except in the case of Hydreigon, Fairy is the only type that really gives it trouble aside from Fighting in theory, and that can be helped by having a Ghost type working with it generally. It can't do much against Fighting, but it can totally hurt Fairy's and it should be capitalized on.

Both will be hit for a decent amount by a Surf. However both can easily OHKO it right back. It is worse against Fairies seeing as those can switch in easily on half your moves vs. Fighting only switching in for "free" on Dark moves.
