The Warden
Actually, one thing we're forgetting: Levels. Gen V went insane with some of the levels you needed to reach to even evolve a Pokemon once. Will they go insane again with this Gen, or keep levels within the realm of realism? Tentacruel
I think they should actually go back and re-balance older Pokemon's base stats, levels of evolution and such. WAY too many Pokes with freakishly high Attack now.
Cin
I‛ll pick my team once I know the gyms and e4 as usual, then in later games I‛ll go with either what I haven‛t used or I just want to use
Phantom Roxas
If it does happen, it might generate a Grass/Steel type. But if that does happen, it would make Fennekin grossly overpowered. The name somewhat blows up my theory of him becoming a Dark, but, I just don't know what else he could become... beyond Rock or Ground.Grass/Fighting? Shradow
Wait, Quilladin? If that means Chespin becomes a Paladin, I may just end up ditching Fennekin for Chespin. Same, except Froakie instead of Fennekin.
Eury
Braixen is obviously based off Vixen, which is a female fox. WHAT OF MALE FENNEKINS?
Shradow
They'll share the same name, obviously. There are female Mr. Mimes, for instance. Also, having seen the new trailer, I think all the starter evolutions look much better with their 3d models. And yeah, I'm getting Y now, because of Mega Mewtwo Y. I'm gonna have to get a Clauncher from one of you guys.
CNo.101 S.H. Death Knight
Interesting that they can't be paralyzed, like how Poison's can't be poisoned. I guess it makes sense from the sense how paralysis is typically from some kind of electric shock. Though how you explain Stun Spore and Body Slam then is a mystery, beyond the obvious reason with the ol BS (lol crippled for life). Interesting. The spread for Quilladin seems to be Quill and Paladin, whilst Frogadier is obviously Frog and Brigadier. I'm not sure on Braixen yet, despite knowing at least the xen part is most likely from Vixen. But either way the second stage seem to share some form of soldier/warrior theme. Vixen is Correct obviously though bra derived either Branch or Brain but according to the lores of Fenneken and braixen, I'd lean to Branch lol. If it does happen, it might generate a Grass/Steel type. But if that does happen, it would make Fennekin grossly overpowered. The name somewhat blows up my theory of him becoming a Dark, but, I just don't know what else he could become... beyond Rock or Ground. I admit I was hoping for chespin to be Grass/Dark. While it have Knight Theme, I thought about Grass/Steel but then they should be equal in term of type advantage. Grass/Dark is still the way to go for equal term, hell it's perfect counter cycle: Dark > Psychic > Fighting and Grass < fire < Water. its a perfect dual types equality no mater what way you look at it. but damn, the themes wrecking my brain on this, although the rumour was spot on Fennekin being Fire/Psychic, I'd believe the other 2 dual types but with the themes presented on Chespin and Froakie I have my doubts. All we could hope that Chespin have a Dark Knight theme as its final evolution, it make up for ppl hurting its feeling ;D.
Toffee.
Amaura with the ability to Refrigerate Normal-Type moves; That's adorable.I'm sold; Hes definitely part of Team Arm now. WHAT OF MALE FENNEKINS?

Fusion X. Denver
Every time they make an announcement about X and Y, I am almost always left, like, completely satisfied. I'm down with poisons not being poisoned, fires not being burned and so on. Especially Steel/Ground getting immunity from Sandstorm, I never understood why they weren't before. Whoever posted that pic with the starters as a warrior, witch and ninja was on to something. Well, Froakie might evolve into some frog general dude instead of a ninja, but whatever. The theme here's looking to be different types of combatants. Female Pyroar looks better than I thought it would too. And man, those trainer customizations are better than I imagined. No one will look the same anymore, and I love that!
Shradow
Yeah, there's way more customization that I would've thought initially. I mean, it's not TF2 or anything, but it's still great.

Gen V went insane with some of the levels you needed to reach to even evolve a Pokemon once. Will they go insane again with this Gen, or keep levels within the realm of realism? At least the levels were something you could hit in game before the E4. I personally didn't mind that much. Grass/Fighting? I think Grass/Fighting, Fire/Psychic, and Water/Dark are the most likely combos. Braixen is obviously based off Vixen, which is a female fox. WHAT OF MALE FENNEKINS? I'm going to try VERY hard to get a female Fennekin. Male pokemon with very female designs always tilts me.
Eury
The only things new with the types are Electrics not being able to be paralyzed and Ghosts unaffected by Mean Look. Poisons have never been able to be poisoned, as far as I know Fires have never been able to be burned, Rock has always gotten a SpDef boost from Sandstorm, etc.

Apparently it was introduced as first set of effects along with Sunshine and Rain during gen 2 before adding on additional effects with Abilities ._. Toffee.
I mean, it's not TF2 or anything-Now that I think about it...A lot of the Pokemon and/or aspects of this game are fashion/pageant oriented. As the starters evolve, they develop more of an 'outfit'.Sylveon is full of scarves/bowtiesPangoro has coat-tailsGogoat is a stylized bicyclePyroar has amazing 'hair'Inkay has a hatSpritzee is perfume basedFurfrou is a poodle that you can give makeovers to; It's name origin can even reinforce thisAmaura, to an extent, is a dinosaur version of a my little pony figure(Just noticed this)Both Meowstics have styalized 'hair', and the female has a scarfFlabebe has 3 different appearancesTierno incorporates dance routines into his battlesDiantha is some famous star that, everyone here idolizes; She could very easily be a Lady GagaAlexa, for all we know, is Diantha's paparazziSeven of the 12 Megas, basically, become more 'fabulous'Team Flare is dedicated to making money; Likely to keep their hair in tact.Hell, you can even give your own character different outfits n' junk, as well as the ability to literally groom your Pokemon in Pokemon-AmieI know I'm over thinking it a bit much, but in context it seems really silly that this game is another TF2.
