Flame Dragon
Yea I'm not liking this drip feed either, I wonder if it's mainly to boost sales. I've got my guide reserved anyway since it's simultaneous release hopefully before release date I might be able to even begin to plan a team like I usually do. I might be tempted back to use 'Zard. Flame shame you missed getting Mega 'Zard in your Avatar/Sig before Neos. It would be interesting if at launch we know almost none of the new pokemon. I mean, we have the internet but I think we have a chance of playing this gen blind. That would be sweet. And yea, I was going to change it, but when I saw Neos already did I was sad. It might be for the better though, I've used this avatar for so long I think if I changed it now no one would know who I was. lol.
Cin
It really depends how you like play your games really. Blind or Informed. I go for informed, I've brought more or less all the guides bar DPPt because I got easy access to a walkthrough on the net. I like to make games easy for myself since I'm not really good with strategy and the only planning I tend to do is type advantage. I wonder if Mega Charizard is actually big enough to carry people since the Pokedex entry says it's too small, yet clearly the Games have it use Fly, Blue and Red have both flown on one during the Manga (the latter borrowed the formers) and the anime has it larger than the Pokedex entry. Blastoise and Venusaur's mega forms I'm not too sure on. I'm wonder if there's Mega Forms are just really alternative art.
~British Soul~
As I was saying earlier, I'm definitely going to use MegaBlastoise on my team because I don't wanna jump on the MegaCharizard bandwagon, and I like the fact that MegaBlastoise essentially has a Grand Slaughter Cannon on its back. Flame Dragon
I like playing informed. I mean, I had a team set up for every starter almost as soon as B/W came out in Japan. Still, the fact that we might be able to play with a lot less information than we've had in the past 7 years is something I find really cool. Since Mega Charizard can't be used outside of battle, using him to fly around shouldn't be an issue. That being said I think if he could be your wings he would likely do a better job than normal since his wings seems a fair bit bigger and that means more lift. Super Chaos Sonic
I think its just because both are very sweet designs. Poor Venusaur just got a bigger flower. I found that sort of a cop out for Venusaur. I mean, Charizard got cooler...and Blastoise got triple fire power. Meh, guess the flower would be for decoration or something. Still, feel like the Grass dude got jibbed.

Yeah, it wasn't very creative on their part, but that wouldn't mean there isn't any MegaVenusaur lovers out there.

Meh, guess the flower would be for decoration or something. Still, feel like the Grass dude got jibbed. Well every set of starters is going to have a worse one. It just happens that Grass often gets the short end of the stick. Also, where did you get that pic in your sig? SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO badass. Yeah, it wasn't very creative on their part, but that wouldn't mean there isn't any MegaVenusaur lovers out there. See, my issue is what could have have done. Every Mega form we've seen seem like natural extensions of the pokemon. What could they do with Saur that would still feel natural?
Admiral_Stalfos19
Hmm... Fennekin & Squirtle or Froakie & Charmander... I'd prefer the latter pair, but if Scaymore doesn't opt to give your Kanto Starter way until after the 1st gym, then I'll have to go with the former. The Skullbook
[quote name="Kakashi Hatake" post="6267728" timestamp="1378296258"]It's basically where you pay for a lot more storage space for storing Pokemon. A service which i will not want nor need, even if they d*ck us on the in-game storage and we end up not having enough storage space for all 600+ pokemon.[/quote That's stupid. Toffee.
So.... Fight for the faster race; Charizard or Ampharos.
-Berserker-
And now that I have my own 3DS, I will be trading a lot. I will get all the previous starters, and Kangaskhan, of course. Isn't drought an ability that activates when the pokemon enters the battle? What's the point if Mega Shahrazad has to be already out of the ball to Mega it? If it activates again when going mega, then I guess abilities like Download or Intimidate are viable for other Megas.
Aerion Brightflame
I can only assume that it would class the mega-pokemon as entering the battlefield for the purposes of it. I mean otherwise the ability becomes... odd to say the least.
Toffee.
Look, as far as Megas go; Everyone wants to know what Blastoise' ability actually does. Yes, it "boosts its power", but to what extent?

If they are considered to enter again, then Sword Dance and stuff would be resetted, so you couldn't really Baton Pass into a pokemon that can go Mega. Also, Stealth Rock against Charizard is even stronger.

Also, Stealth Rock against Charizard is even stronger. Generally the point of it would be to switching Zard before they have it set-up/as a lead/after a spin, go into mega form and set-up drought, then hit and run. Presumably. Since Mega evolving is done before you make a move iirc. And before you choose one. Also that's kinda fine, I mean there's some combo's I wouldn't want to see. Like Shell Smash + Kengashkan's mega. Two presumed attacks with those buffs a turn.
Eury
Actually, idr the source, but I'm pretty sure Stealth Rock doesn't hit Mega-Charizard. Since technically he's already out. But it will still hit Charizard. Granted, since Mega has Drought, Charizard will probably become a lead so SR doesn't matter.

Lonk
I hope people realize that MegaVenusaur has frickin' facial hair now. That's awesome, though the pink flower on its head deters that away. I do like the extra shrubbery on his back. Though, I'm honestly disappointed by this direct, just because it didn't go too much into detail like other specified directs did.
Azuh
I think I might go for Froakie and Bulbasaur for the starters. I've actually never really trained a venusaur before. And I know my girlfriend will either choose charmander or squirtle so...
Eury
And I'm sitting here getting Fennekin and Charizard. And I'm going to have Yveltal and Absol. 2 Fire and 2 Darks. THIS IS GOING SWIMMINGLY
