I don't think I've ever gravitated towards a specific type, since I've always made sure that I have a really diverse team in that none of them share even a secondary type.

Golurk, my favorite Pokemon ever, is a Ghost/Ground, which is a unique typing that I find cool, though. Also, dat STAB Earthquake.

That is an option if I can get it before the E4... though that gives me the idea of seeing what interesting combos the new Psychic-types will be able to do. So, that gives me another of my team (was also going to get at least 1 Water and at least 1 Flying so I don't have to go to the PC for Surf and Fly). That's only half my team but I've still gotta keep some of it open in case anything I think I'll REALLY want to use comes along.

See, redundant types are fine. Its not having a bunch of shaired weakness thats important. My triple water type team didn't have any type that hit 3 of my pokemon for super effective damage.

And now that I think about it, its not that I gravitate towards some types. Its more that I gravitate away from some types. Like I don't like using Poison, Rock, Ice, and Normal types.

I think I just go with Pokemon that appeal to me, really. When I played through White the first time and decided to have more than just a single team of 6, I just nabbed anyone that caught my eye.

I really liked a lot of the designs in Gen V, so I ended up having about 30 different Pokemon I trained up. I think some of my favorites design-wise were Golurk, Chandelure, Escavalier, Volcarona, Gigalith, Eelektross, Scoliopede, Leavanny, and Bisharp.

Speaking of that, special praise goes to my Gigalith I had, since he was probably my strongest Pokemon of that playthrough, even more than my Reuniclus (he just lacked the move diversity to do the same feats, like soloing the E4 or sweeping my friend's team of action replayed in legendaries). I remember people always saying they despised Ghetsis's Hydreigon, but my Gigalith tanked a Surf from it (went down to about 1/3 health, didn't even need Sturdy to activate), then OHKOd it with a non-crit Stone Edge.

Back to re-types, though, I could see Milotic getting retyped to Water/Fairy. It would make sense, being the Beauty-oriented Gyarados. Also, the vague resemblance Sylveon's ribbons have to Milotic's scales kind of help support this for me.

I swear - this post dragged me out of YCM retirement...

Yes, please :o

Though what I would also enjoy is a Milotic mega-evolution which was Water/Dragon.

I just want a Grass Type Legendary that isn't Arceus. Because well... I feel it's needed, and I want some kinda of bulky Poison type.

Like Volcorona in respects, for being a really underused type and still being amazing. It's probably my favourite pokemon of the generation, despite the fact it's painful in play through for such a long time.

We already HAVE A grass type legendary. Not just one, either.

Not that there's anything WRONG with having more than one type for legendaries, of course. It's just that...

We don't even have a Poison-type legendary yet! Why not? It's the ONLY ONE!

Speaking of Volcorona, while it might be painful ingame, it's amazing competitively with dat Quiver Dance and Fiery Dance.
