I really do love infinite bag space but I really hate having to sift through thousands of items just to find what I want. A PC would be nice just to free up this over hall. And I said for every "Fully evolved" Pokemon, not every Pokemon

Just add Fully Evolved to all of my points, and they're JUST as valid.

What's stopping you from just trashing the items that you're not going to use?

it certainly said pre-order but there no way you can get it for X&Y (except Giratina) because the release date is on the Oct. 12. so you will have to send email to them for clarification.   

 

I just find it a bit annoying that each Pokemon Mega Form has its own Mega Stone... That would mean if all fully evolved Pokemon get one, we would have to have to carry at least 200+ useless items

 

they implied "some" as not even half the population will be getting Mega. I could see Starter pokemons get mega as they are one of the kind.

Yeah, since Blaziken is getting a Mega Evolution, I think that means every starter's final evolution will get one. Kinda want one for Yanmega just so we can have MegaYanmega. (Yanmega's Japanese name is Megayanma, would it be MegaMegayanma there?)

 

Also, I've realized something about the people saying Pokemon are ripping off Digimon with this. In Japan (where Pokemon comes from, obviously), Digimon don't even have Mega forms, their equivalent is Ultimate (in English, Ultimate is equivalent to Perfect in Japanese).

Also, I read the event Torchic with the Blazikenite will also have Speed Boost as its ability.

I would like a MegaTyranitar. But that would be as broken as MegaMewtwo, so I'll just take MegaKangaskhan, MegaAggron or MegaRhydon (don't really like Rhyperior lookswise).

Imagine one of the first gyms throwing a MegaMiltank at you. The nightmare all over again.

I'm trying to figure out why I'm not in love with  the Mega Forms. I think its because I'd rather just have most of these pokemon get normal evolutions. I mean they this is going to need to be different enough from normal evolutions to justify it, but if the condition isn't the easiest one it will make the pokemon that are getting Mega Forms as their "evolution" really hurt. At the very least I hope Mega + Name isn't the actual naming system. Cause that would be lame.

I like the Mega forms. I think that it's a pretty great option. And, making it another evoulution just would be pointless to me. It makes them over-powered as heck, and plus, why not change it up a bit?

I am so glad Mawile gets one. That's all I really care about. I will actually be able to use one of my favorite Pokemon without it sucking!

I think something like MegaMawile or MegaAbsol could've been a normal evolution, since otherwise they are the only ones in their evolutionary line (though I guess with only one it'd be an evolutionary dot).

If you only get 1 Mega per team than by design a Mega would need to be TONS more powerful than normal evolutions. Plus they won't give the same increase to a normal evo as they would a Mega. Plus some like Absol only needed a small increase to get better, not a huge one that the Mega form is looking to give it. See, I like the idea of Mega pokemon for 3 stage pokemon that need it (Amph is a great example) but I don't see why something like Absol or Mawile would get this over just a normal evolution. I mean if you can only use 1 it makes it so they haven't gotten any better if you want a different Mega.

I think the 3 Stages rule is one of the hard fast rules of pokemon. Even with these the rule isn't broken, these are only temp upgrades. As is stands I don't even think these will have Pokedex entries. I don't think many people get mad when an old pokemon gets an evolution. They rarely look worse and are now a ton better. Pre-Evos get rage cause they do nothing. So I don't think they were afraid of backlash.

We can only hope. While normal Charizard is already awesome, like a lot of Gen I Pokemon his design is quite simple, so I can only imagine how cool a Mega Evolution would look.

 

Like, MegaLucario looks awesome, but not too different from normal Lucario since he's got a lot of stuff in his design. But with something like Charizard, there's a lot that could be added.

Well, yeah, but the Mega Forms aren't exactly supposed to look vastly different, are they? Other than Mewtwo, I guess. They're upgrades, not full evolutions, so it makes sense there'd only be minor cosmetic changes. Personally, I'm totally okay with things as small as Ampharos becoming Amphabulous.

 

As for non fully evolved Pokemon getting evolutions... I think they just really wanted to make Pokemon look like that without getting backlash that the evolutions look no different... Even though the same people wouldn't complain about Grimer evolving into Muk, or Voltorb evolving into Electrode.

I know I'm late here, but it's cool to see Pokémon paying homage to DBZ going into this territory.

 

I love all the forms so far and MegaBlaziken makes me think other starters will get Mega Forms as well. I'm personally hoping for MegaVenusaur, MegaCharizard and MegaSceptile.

Serebii have S.Giratina listed as ending the 11th Oct. I don't see how they'd do all 3 as pre-order bonuses. I've already pre-ordered from Game anyhow. (I fear otherwise I'd forget and the only time I'm in town on a Saturday is work). Then again I'm sure one of the other Mystery Gift events were supposed to be pre-order bonuses for BW2. (I'm gonna go to the same Game I got all of the BW2 events from anyway.)

Serebii has the event listed as Downloadable. (So glad Nintendo sorted the WEP/WPA thing out).
