Just the distorted piano music is enough to make me jump out of my skin. Dead Space 2 - as they said in the ZoonminGames video on the scariest games ever, it played on the fact that most of what was happening wasn't that scary but the threat of what might happen made it scary. Makο Posted January 7, 2013 Report Share Posted January 7, 2013 Hmm...in recent days, I don't play many scary games, so I'll just have to slap on Slender and move on. When I was younger, however, Marathon scared the crap out of me. Mostly because I didn't know how to change the controls, so I kept trying to play it like Unreal Tournament to no avail, I didn't know how to shoot, there was sort of a fog of war that made it hard to see (and dark), and the aliens scared me to death whenever I even saw one.
