I see this in a lot of sideboards and it is a really great pressure card, especially for a 1-drop.

With the new Gruul cards coming out, do you think this combo'd with landfetching cards will make him a viable mana source for R/G decks when Gatecrash is released?

Plausible, but entirely depends on what Gruul really gets. Could make for a very interesting Jund deck though, which could really get some good stuff from Gruul entering the fray, although Jund will most likely be switching to a more aggro approach.

The card's amazing though, although much better in the side in standard, it's an absolutely house in legacy and modern. Definitely my favourite card to play with from RTR bar Sphinx's Revelation.

Not even close.
He's one of the best game winners in Jund by a mile.

I actually meant that the only place where you can efficiently use Deathrite Shaman is in Jund. Other decks can't use him well. Obviously, he's amazing in Jund for everything else too.

"He's only ever a mana dork."
Wording is a thing, man. :(
Still, this is honestly at its best in Legacy. Powering out a turn 3 Jace with FoW backup while also being one of your grindy win-cons is amazing <3

I read it and realised that could have been interpreted differently.

It's such an amazing answer in Legacy. I fully agree with you there.
