Canadian
I see this in a lot of sideboards and it is a really great pressure card, especially for a 1-drop. With the new Gruul cards coming out, do you think this combo'd with landfetching cards will make him a viable mana source for R/G decks when Gatecrash is released? Simping For Hina
Use your opponent's Fetchlands. Slows down the Tarmogoyf. Best graveyard hate.
The Hounds Of Anubis
Plausible, but entirely depends on what Gruul really gets. Could make for a very interesting Jund deck though, which could really get some good stuff from Gruul entering the fray, although Jund will most likely be switching to a more aggro approach. The card's amazing though, although much better in the side in standard, it's an absolutely house in legacy and modern. Definitely my favourite card to play with from RTR bar Sphinx's Revelation. Flame Dragon
This is 100% a modern card. In standard only 2 of his 3 effects are really good. That said, I would LOVE for him to be good in standard.
Canadian
I guess this could also work for Simic. Probably even moreso.
The Hounds Of Anubis
Would definitely have to go BUG for that to work, but 3 colours won't be an issue after GTC. Splashing Black is almost never a bad thing anyway.
.Rai
Or play it in Golgari where it makes the most sense in Standard. But he's only ever a mana dork in Modern Jund.

Obviously, he's amazing in Jund for everything else too.
The Hounds Of Anubis
"He's only ever a mana dork." Wording is a thing, man. Still, this is honestly at its best in Legacy. Powering out a turn 3 Jace with FoW backup while also being one of your grindy win-cons is amazing <

It's such an amazing answer in Legacy. I fully agree with you there.
