Moving Shadow Records

Moving Shadow released some awesome classic drum&bass compilations from the late 90s to early 2000s. Anyone else a fan? Much of their stuff has a really nice jazzy sound with varied, intelligent drumloops, such as:

They also did some wonderfully grimey hardcore stuff like:

I own just about every Moving Shadow compilation on CD now! Always looking out for rare ones I may have missed.

Drum N Bass has always been one of my favorite sub genres of electronic
And those two tracks are actually not that bad, they're fairly good
But if we're gonna bring up jazzy style DnB, I personally would say Squarepusher for that stuff
That's just me though

But anyways I might check out a few other songs released by Moving Shadow Records

Squarepusher is mental, I love Steinbolt.. more like complete whack than jazz but not to say it's bad.

He has some songs that aren't like that
Ones like Iambic 9 Poetry
And if you're able to listen close enough in his songs there are jazz influences
The reason why some of his songs are really crazy and glitchy is because of the IDM influences inside of them

Steinbolt seems more like IDM to me rather than DnB.
If you like Steinbolt then you should check out Sigstop by Richard Devine
