I was going to comment on that, because in case it hasn't been established, Merlin is dead. However, considering how in Sword in the Stone, Merlin briefly went to the future, I'll assume he's doing something like that right now. He'll go back in time later, go back to become Balthazar's teacher, and then get killed by Morgana. However, I would prefer if you do not write Merlin leaving. Just do what needs to be done for Dawn's character.

Ok, so this is just my thoughts, but wouldn't a time traveler technically be immortal? I mean, yeah they can die in one time, but the them in the future still survives, so they'd technically survive unless the assailant went to each time that this person was in and killed them there.

Not saying that Merlin should be alive for this, seeing as Morgana could probably pull something like that off, that's just always been my thinking.

Because time is a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff, you have to consider how it works from Merlin's perspective. Now that we're dealing with time travel, it's already been determined that Merlin won't die until he goes back in time. Morgana can't do anything either, since she's stuck in the Grimhold. However, if you mean that she does it before she gets trapped in goes through time the same way Merlin did, if she succeeded in killing Merlin then, then Merlin wouldn't have been able to go back in time for Morgana to kill him.

See, this is why we shouldn't think too much about time travel like this.

And yet they made that God Awful Jumper movie...which coincidentally sounds like this situation here.

Name: Zachery Skellington (Prefers to be called Zack)
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Alignment: Resistance
Source Material: The Nightmare Before Christmas (A future aspect)
GrimJunior.png

grim_jr_by_retrobit-d4pwtzb.png

The first pic is basically Zack normally, however a bit taller. The second pic is him in combat mode, using the scythe in the first picture.

At some points, he does seem like his parents: having his father's curiosity and even confidence while still having his mother's caring heart (or lack of) and her sense of wrong and right. However, still as a teen, Zack can become a bit hot-tempered and even uncaring about certain issues, though this is only very seldom as it would only show if someone upsets the young skeleton to the point of no return. And if this side of Zack were to come out, it would only be after he was engaged in his combat form. Either way you look at it, Zack is almost the spitting image of Jack, meaning a very similar personality (after all, skeletons might just all be the same).

It was bound to happen, the Pumpkin King of Halloween: Jack Skellington met his true love and fell in love with the creation known as Sally. After having his old friends help him stop Oogie for a second time, Jack settled down with Sally and they enjoyed many Halloweens together. One Halloween, however, an addition was added into the family: a son they named Zachery Skellington.

Through out the course of young Zack's childhood, he allowed Jack to teach him the things about Halloween Town and especially how to work with being the son of the Pumpkin King. He heard so many stories that Jack told him, especially about when he tried to take Christmas for himself. He even got to meet Mister "Sandy Claws" himself, as Santa had stopped to see how Jack was doing. But through it all, Zack became a prodigy under his father, being almost how Jack was in his younger years. He even decided to become his own skeleton, taking an old scythe that no one ever used before and dubbed himself "The Grim Reaper". His father did get a bit disappointed, but understood his son's reasoning. Though Zack, deep down in his skeleton bones does wish to become the new Pumpkin King.

Now as Jack backed out of this "Resistance", to work on this years plan for Halloween, he's asked his son to take his place and help these people out. With a brand new opportunity to represent Halloween Town and his father, Zack Skellington is ready to show that he's ready for anything.

Weapon:

Scythe of Halloween

The scythe as shown above in the appearance. Unlike his father, he specializes with this weapon and is basically the only one well equipped with this.

General Abilities:

Flexibility and Arcobatism

Just as his father is, he has amazing flexibility, allowing him to get into spaces that normal people couldn't. Along with being able to move very well during combat. This combination works well when put together.

Pumpkin King's Abilities

He does have the assortment of abilities that Jack does, however he throws his own twist on them, mainly with his weapon choice not being the same as his father's.
I say go for it. We can see how he reacts to the kids and Xelo. Though, wouldn't Lock, Shock, and Barrel possibly resemble adults at this moment in time?

I'm just wondering cause sometimes time is really confusing when you skip a few centuries and you return to the same world, everything completely different.
