Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Had this on Sky News, just trying to process it. Can't understand why someone would do something like this. Wizarus
20 children and 6 adults killed. A sad and tragic event. My thoughts go out to the families, I couldn't imagine being at work, thinking my child is safe at school, only to find out he/she was shot and killed by a psychopath. bury the year
First Aurora, now this. When will trigger-happy NRA gun advocates realize that they need to acquiesce and lay off? We need gun restrictions, and the sooner the better.
Susie
Oh for goodness sake Some of the people in this world First there was a Batman movie shooting and now there's an Elementary School that's been shot up. Jake the Sage
First Aurora, now this. When will trigger-happy NRA gun advocates realize that they need to acquiesce and lay off? We need gun restrictions, and the sooner the better.
Rinne the NRA had nothing to do with this. Even if they already regulate guns as much as they legally can there is no way of regulating the people who use them. After all how do you regulate crazy?
TheComposer
If you regulate guns, only the crazies will have them, because TRUST ME, they will find a way to get them. Now let's try to not turn this into an argument about gun control, make another thread for that if you want. And as for why people do these kind of things? Well, some people just want to watch the world burn.

Agro
Apparently he had a history of mental illness and apparently family issues (his mother was one of the victims in the shooting). Aix
So Rinne's argument has merit? After all, if it weren't so easy to get his hands on a gun, then there could have been a chance that this wouldn't have happened or the casualties could possibly have been lower. Death Metal
More senseless violence? Seems to be a trend we are running into. Horrifying as this is, it's just the same thing we have dealt since the dawn of man.

Or they'll just use a knife, make a makeshift bomb, etc. If they intend to cause harm, they WILL cause harm, gun or no gun.
Aix
Yes, but with less powerful guns, there will be less casualties. If he tries to obtain a gun, there is also the possibility of him getting discovered. If he's mentally ill, maybe he can't actually find a way to get it.
I highly doubt a guy with a knife will kill as many people as a guy with a gun. Sure, people can argue that if people will want to kill than they will still kill, but you have to understand the difference in power having a knife and having a gun gives you. Someone's less likely to pull a knife on someone than pull a gun on someone, and certainly less likely to commit mass murder with one.

(Which is extremely damaging to one's personal life) Word got out that this older brother liked Mass Effect on Facebook. This happened.
