[b]Big Announcement[/b]:

An optional field has been added to the "App" section known as "Stats". Those with apps are allowed to add this new field under your "Combat Info" section and beneath your "Magic" field. Please refer to the "App" section on the first OOC post if you would like to add the new field to your own app. This new field is important in that it gives me an overview of your character's basic combat parameters. There is no set cap but you are expected to utilize the stats [b]responsibly[/b]. And please remember to delete the explanation message and the explanations for each stat in your finalized, updated app unless you use the version located in the "App In Code".

It will slightly help your chances of acceptance if you add this new field beforehand (remember that I did only say "slightly" however). While this is optional, the three apps that I will accept [b]MUST[/b] add this new field after they are accepted. In addition, the accepted apps will also receive a bonus "Character Stats Chart" after they have filled in the new field. To see an example of a "Character Stats Chart", please refer to the "My App" section in the first OOC post on the first page. As expected, it will be located in the "Combat Info" section underneath the "Magic" field.

AT LAST!! My hiatus from RPing has been severed! Behold, my creation! If there's anything wrong with it let me know, cause it's been a while since I ever completed an app.

Makuta’s overall appearance is exactly this, but is more fashioned in red rather than blue, and his hair is jet black. His eyes are as they are, but under his headband lies a Dragon tattoo and a scar that slices right through it, signifying the only person to ever nearly succeed in shedding his blood. He also has a golden phoenix necklace he wears around his neck that signifies the burning determination for peace that originated from his mother. It’s a constant reminder that no matter what hardships may come his way, he knows that the determination of finding peace lies within his own soul, as his mother is always with him in spirit. However, it’s possible that the necklace may hold a secret that even Makuta is unaware of at the moment. And maybe, he’ll know soon enough.[/spoiler][spoiler=Personality]You would think that Makuta would have an overflowing sense of justice, thus leading to a fluctuating sense of arrogance and the need to do things alone. That is in fact false. Makuta’s sense of justice is never overbearing. He has this burning determination of bringing peace to the world, even if it means sacrificing himself for the better of mankind. Ever since the death of his parents and his uncle over the course of at least 15 years, Makuta has found a way to balance his emotions to push forward in his goals. He also follows Bushido, the Way of The Warrior, along with his own personal belief, which is a similar name to his pair of katana always in his possession, which is called Ikari to Seigi, which means Wrath and Justice.

The concept is based around Makuta’s need for peace. He gets both emotions from his parents. From his father, he gets his wrath, and his mother his determination of justice, respectively. And he believes that you can use wrath without there being negative consequences on the innocent and pure-hearted as long as your sense of justice has the power to guide that wrath to do the right thing. Basically, if you have this need to get rid of whoever is in your way, be sure it is people who do nothing but steal, kill, and destroy, all examples of bringing some level of chaos to the world. And that wrath can not only be guided, but can be used in segments depending on the seriousness of the situation. However, he will not hesitate to kill an enemy if they intend to do more evil deeds if he were to spare them. Only if the enemy changes their ways for the better of mankind will he spare them. He goes by this every day, knowing it’s helped him defeat many enemies that want nothing more than destruction.[/spoiler][spoiler=Bio:]Makuta has been through many mentally-scarring events in his life, all of which has made him a much more stronger person in the end. Most of these scars in his life all have to do with losing lives he cared about. The most tragic of them that still haunts him to this day on rare occasions is the death of his parents. It still haunts him because of the fact that around the time in which it happened, Makuta needed them the most, but was pushed away, as a war had commenced around the time, and he was unaware of it at the age of 8. This war was small, but took many lives as a result. The war itself was in Ryūjin, but in a village that belongs to his family. This village, was known as Kūrai.

Makuta had always trained with his parents ever since he was 5 years old, but they both trained him in completely different ways. What was even more shocking was the fact that neither parent knew that the other was training their kid the opposite way. Makuta’s father Kibuto had followed the way of the dragon, which was the Way of Wrath & Aggression. His mother Chizu had taught him the way of the phoenix, was the Way of Justice & Peace. Because of the constant alternation between teachings, Makuta was clueless as to what he should utilize as a warrior, and so was torn between his parents for some time.

Soon enough Chizu had come to realize that Kibuto had been training Makuta in the ways of wrath and aggression, but she decided to never confront him about it. Instead, she decided to attempt to adjust her training so that he may utilize justice more. As a result, she had begun to teach Makuta a way to utilize both styles, but she never got to the main ways of doing it. Around that time, civil war in the village had begun to commence, and whoever side someone was on, they would have chosen their fate, living or dying. And because of the war, Makuta’s parents were on high alert to protect the village from destruction. And Makuta was left to hide alone.

During the middle of the war, Makuta had needed his parents the most, but they had pushed him away so that he may hide and live another day. And previous to the war, Kibuto and Chizu had written two letters that applied to Makuta if they were killed. Chizu had also talked to her older brother Kai before the war, who was a retired shogun in the armies of Ryūjin. She asked to promise Kai to further her teachings to Makuta if she doesn’t live through the war. He commits, but she also asked that Kai should teach Makuta some of his ways as well, which he agrees to.

However, Makuta could not hide forever, and he decided he wanted to fight as well, wanting to prove himself. Again his parents had told him to go away before he gets killed, but he didn’t listen. As a result, his very home was invaded, and one by one, his parents were struck down, lifeless. Makuta was knocked out, and was almost executed, but the man who planned the invasion of his home had told Makuta’s near-executioner to spare him, as he will do nothing to them at his age. While still unconscious, after the war ended and almost everybody is dead, Makuta’s uncle Kai came to him and brought him to his dojo.

When he awoke, Makuta could not speak, but instead read the letters given to him by his parents. Both letters talked about Makuta living on and creating a legacy for the Karanime name. But one letter mentioned to utilize all that both of his parents had taught him into what his uncle attempts to train him for. And so, for the next 10 or so years, Makuta had learned to utilize both Wrath and Justice into one style. However, there was a time when Makuta was 18, something inside him engulfed into an inferno of power that appeared out of nowhere. This power felt familiar, but he just didn’t know how exactly what made it so.

But because he lacked the ability to sustain that power, he had used too much and had accidentally struck down his uncle and was on his knees. But before he died, he said he was proud of Makuta and that his training was complete. And as a result, he told Makuta to remove his headband, and Kai touched his forehead, creating a dragon symbol that'll remain for a lifetime, He said to use this power only to achieve peace, so that all may live in harmony once more. And soon enough, he breathed his last breath, and Makuta made a proper burial for such a great master: a shrine built in the honor of his legendary status as a shogun of Ryūjin.

In the next 7 years Makuta had traversed the nations to fight all who bring chaos. But he also became a motivational speaker for the many villages in poverty, raising hope for those people in need of someone who believes that peace can be achieved. And even to this day, he hears about the wars that have come about, and without the great hero Yudai Kamiyama to guide the people back to peace, he can only hope that he can do what it is he can to further the chance of there being harmony once again for all nations of Kōdaina. However, he had heard of a man named Yudai by some odd coincidence, but does not know if he has any significance or not. Surely, though, he’ll know soon enough.[/spoiler]

Warrior Type: Master Swordsman(He has basic knowledge on all known weapons of feudal Japan that have blades, but mostly prefers swords)/Samurai

These weapons were both personally-handcrafted swords used individually by his parents. His father had the sword Ikari, and his mother had the sword Yoshi, respectively. Even to this day, both blades have never dulled or had any particular damage on them since they were crafted. However, these swords hold individual secrets, both of which Makuta was unaware of, other than when he accidentally struck down his uncle using an unknown power within him.[/spoiler] Secondary Weapon(s) & Equipment: Any bladed weapons that he can get his hands on when needed. He also has a hidden belt containing multiple small sacks of smoke bombs, which he uses effectively.[spoiler=Abilities][u][b]Canine Senses[/b][/u] - Makuta is able to hear, see and smell much better than the average human, and he takes near full advantage of it when using his smoke bombs, as he focuses on where the sounds of an enemy’s attack may reside while hidden and be able to pinpoint the location of the enemy so that he may strike.

[u][b]Quick Reaction[/b][/u] - Again, unlike the average human, Makuta has exercised his calves, hamstrings, basically all of the muscles in his legs and thighs to the limit in order to be able to move almost twice the average running speed of a human, and also exercise his brain so that he may react accordingly at the right moment to retaliate or evade. Because so, he looks as if to nearly slow down time just enough to see the movements of his enemies carefully.[/spoiler][spoiler=Special Techniques][u][b]Jinsei Muscle Infusion[/b][/u] - This is the only technique that Makuta has learned, but has yet to master. What this does is concentrate a small amount of Nature Energy into Makuta’s arm muscles so that he may be able to duel wield his swords with less effort. So far, he can duel wield his swords, but is slower in striking as a result.

[u][b]Black Eye of Wrath[/b][/u] - Concentrating his power of Wrath, Makuta is able to change his left eye completely black, and concentrate black flames into either impenetrable body armor (An invincible black flame version of the Jinsei armor in a sense) or concentrated black flames that enchant his sword Yoshi for a short amount of time. Unfortunately, Makuta hasn’t learned this yet, as he lacks the motivation of unleashing his inner rage.

[u][b]Righteous Augmentation[/b][/u] - Unlike the Black Eye of Wrath, this technique is more based on powering up his swords, preferably allowing him to duel wield with ease when using it. What happens first, is that the Phoenix necklace around Makuta’s neck begins to glow for a few seconds and then set ablaze with white flames along with his entire body. His hair stands up slightly and both of his eyes turn into a fiery red. As a result, this technique increases the overall strength of both arms and legs in order to duel wield his swords, that are now also infused with white flames (Which is highly concentrated Nature Energy), and also run in at least 3 times his average speed. Again, this power has yet to be unleashed as the motivation for it is also lacking.[/spoiler]Magic: Jinsei Armor

C4, I didn't expect such a good app to come in at the last second xP

Remnants, it was worth the wait as I got to read some pretty wonderful apps

Just a little bit more time before I start my final review of all apps

I wouldn't say a few more hours since everybody's apps are about done (besides Admiral) but I guess I'll wait for one more hour. After that, it's judgment time.

EDIT: Ninja'd. Oh looks like Admiral's done too. Okay, onto judging which should take around thirty minutes.

I made one small edit, but it's only in the Other Info section, discussing the meaning of Ryuu's name.

First of all, I would like to thank everybody who has taken an interest in this RP as well as creating such wonderful apps for me to read. I'm not lying when I say I had a hard time choosing between particular apps and those apps almost made me open more spots but in the end, I have to stick to my limit. In the spoiler below, you will find the names of the three participants who I've chosen to be part of this RP. Thank you to all who participated by posting an app and to those who did not get a spot, hopefully I will be able to RP with you some time in the future.
