I like the colors of the second more, but the gradient maps make it feel too washed out for me to properly enjoy it. First would be my favorite if it wasn't for that orb thing.. the only real problem I have with these is the top lighting source seems nonexistent? .Rai Posted December 12, 2012 Report Share Posted December 12, 2012 I kinda like the orb. Adds a secondary point of focus to what is otherwise a very blended piece. Backlighting seems strange here, but it's not big an issue. Has a rustic feel to it; nice to see when we are all constantly smoothing out our pieces to perfection. A personal reminder for myself to texture more. Fun composition. Although I like the colour range of the second one compared to the slightly gaudy yellows of the third, the second is far too washes out. It desperately calls for a larger range of midtones.
