Digimon World 4 for me[out of what I have played]. Game gives you no directions at all, have to wander around, and trying to get into the final stage was pain in the arse as you have to try every combination to get the tower to come down so you could get up there while getting pestered by a non-stopped army of inferman .-. before you even get into the final boss. While the final boss himself was not exactly easy as well .-.

I didn't even think Dark Souls was an option because it's so ridiculous xD

Dark souls is pretty easy tbh, its a b**** for the first couple hours while you figure out the combat and get comfortable with the controls, after that its not hard at all if you don't try to suicide run through each level.

So far, the hardest game I have ever played (that isn't obviously difficult from the start like "Dragon's Lair" on the NES) would have to be "Castlevania: Dracula X" for the SNES. Since they went back to the "straight-whip" attack from the original, it makes me want to play "Super Castlevania 4" a lot more just because it feels more flexible when it comes to using the whip, and even that game can be challenging at times.

I'd rather have an Omnidirectional Attack as opposed to a unidirectional one any day. At least when it comes to bats and medusa heads.

Syobon Action / "Cat Mario" is actually a very easy game, guise.
First time you beat it, you have everything memorized, so it becomes progressively easier the second time around.
The only "difficulty", is trying to get a good score.
Best I ever got was -2.

Oh god, this goddamn game.
Took me 40 tries to beat the 1st level...

Really all these "hardest games EVAR XD" are just memorization. You just need to die 4 billion times memorizing each level and then its cake.

This.
And I also stated that.
First time through Cat Mario, you don't know any of the locations of the traps n' junk.
Second time around, you know whare they are; game becomes 500 times easier.

Oh god, don't remind me. It's not really that it's hard but that there's a sh*t ton and they're all already stronger than you. I would just grab a friend to play and we'd just use hit and run tactics with the guns in order to slowly level up. But once you do get stronger it's a cake walk for those games. The rest of the game continues to be a b*tch though.

I just remembered Rogue Galaxy. :\

But that game wasn't that ha-*Remembers not being able to beat the factory level because I had no health items, allies and I were low on health, robots were kind of strong, and I had to reurn the game to the video store.* Nevermind...

Glad I never played Rogue Galaxy o.o
That was the point where I basically gave up on Level 5.

Dark Cloud was good, as well as it's predecessor. But Rogue Galaxy? Trash.

Somehow, I managed to buckle down and beat the game, though. Some parts can get incredibly irritating and tough, though.
