DeathSDelano
Digimon World 4 for me[out of what I have played]. Game gives you no directions at all, have to wander around, and trying to get into the final stage was pain in the arse as you have to try every combination to get the tower to come down so you could get up there while getting pestered by a non-stopped army of inferman .-. before you even get into the final boss. While the final boss himself was not exactly easy as well .-.
Yosuke-kun
Gotta say, of the Digimon World series, 3 was most annoying for me. They kept saying you could recruit other Digimon, but nothing ever tells ya how. You basically just got lucky and figured it out, or you had the strategy guide to tell ya. Poc
I didn't even think Dark Souls was an option because it's so ridiculous xD
Dark souls is pretty easy tbh, its a b**** for the first couple hours while you figure out the combat and get comfortable with the controls, after that its not hard at all if you don't try to suicide run through each level. Yosuke-kun
Wait, you made it to that point? O.o Everyone I know ended up rage quitting after a few hours xD Seriously though, you're right. It's just difficult for a lot of people to get to that point, which is true for me as well V.V

Hermit Purple
So far, the hardest game I have ever played (that isn't obviously difficult from the start like "Dragon's Lair" on the NES) would have to be "Castlevania: Dracula X" for the SNES. Since they went back to the "straight-whip" attack from the original, it makes me want to play "Super Castlevania 4" a lot more just because it feels more flexible when it comes to using the whip, and even that game can be challenging at times. I'd rather have an Omnidirectional Attack as opposed to a unidirectional one any day. At least when it comes to bats and medusa heads.
Cute Rotten Yoshika
As in Super Meat Boy or Cloudberry Kingdom or Syobon Action
yeah i know what youre referring to. my point is a lot of nes games were like that too. they were also like that on purpose. stuff like contra or challenger or etc etc etc.
Makο
There was this Japanese PKMN Fighting game I played on Wine. Can't recall it's name. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT EDIT: Ah, Type Wild. That was it.
Toffee.
Syobon Action / "Cat Mario" is actually a very easy game, guise. First time you beat it, you have everything memorized, so it becomes progressively easier the second time around. The only "difficulty", is trying to get a good score. Best I ever got was -2. Not-so-Radiant Arin
I don't think I've ever come across a game that was "hard", but just annoying. Take for example, Final Fantasy XIII. It's like every battle that I got into was "oh hey, I get lifted up in the air and can't do s*** oh I'm dead restart".
Yosuke-kun
See, I didn't have a problem with that, but I seem to be gifted with Final Fantasy games xD If we're going for what's annoying, I'd like to put the original Rayman game for PS1 on the table *evil smile*

First time through Cat Mario, you don't know any of the locations of the traps n' junk. Second time around, you know whare they are; game becomes 500 times easier. I would just grab a friend to play and we'd just use hit and run tactics with the guns in order to slowly level up. But once you do get stronger it's a cake walk for those games. Dark Cloud was good, as well as it's predecessor. But Rogue Galaxy? Trash. Somehow, I managed to buckle down and beat the game, though. Some parts can get incredibly irritating and tough, though. D.A._Sakuyamon
The only game that comes to mind in terms of being hard would have to be the American Version of "Super Mario Bro.s 2". To this day, I still have not beat it.
