Improving the quality?

Hi there^^ I just became a member of this cool community
and just wanted to ask something. While i was playing around with the Card Maker
i tried to bring them to reality by saving them via rightclick, changing the pixels to
a lower amount so it would fit the size of a real card and printed it.

Sadly the quality lost itself on this way XD Is there any way to somehow save the cards
with a better quality ect.?

If you're lowering the pixel count then you're lowering the resolution in itself and this is what lowers the quality.
If you're trying to resize the picture then you'll want image editing software like GIMP or Photoshop, which attempts to keep resolution as good as possible as you resize it (but even that has imits)
