Since this is the place to ask questions, I assume this is where this should go.
So, I know there's a rule on this forum about crediting artists creators when possibly and if the creator has a problem with the usage, the art is requested to be taken down.
That said, why are so many people crediting JazinKay when they use art work from his Photobucket account? I mean is it just "covering one's behind" since they don't know where he gets the art either (even though they know it's not his either) by claiming they got it from him?
I was having a PM conversation with someone and when I mentioned what I needed to make proxies for a project I've been wishing to get "finished" for some time now even though the cards themselves have been finished for ages. He/she mentioned checking this guy's account like everyone else (and a lot of people do refer to this card in credit), so I finally gave in and checked it out. None of it is his, in fact most is from other Card Games (especially Duel Masters, especially JAPANESE Duel Masters where there are a lot of cards that have never been released outside of Japan with art we've never seen otherwise). I don't have a problem with that and using the art there from other games (including because I've done that myself but I didn't get it from Jazinkay's account or anyone else's for that matter).
I question why he's been credited, especially since I have to think people know at some point who the art actually belongs to. At least I put a legal disclaimer on my cards that makes a general admission that applies to all owners and their works and doesn't make any claims of credit toward anyone. In other words, I'm not claiming certain work I use belongs to any one particular, only that the work itself belongs to whoever actually has legal ownership of it and that person is NOT me. Maybe it's the "lawyer" in me, but I can only think people credit this Jazinkay guy (knowing it isn't his work) just say they can comply (loosely) with the Art-Crediting Rule of the forum by essentially saying "I got it from him, I didn't know." and he himself wouldn't actually say anything about it for the same reason.
I guess it just bothers me to see all this Duel Masters and Vanguard art around here and someone says "Credit goes to Jazinkay". Claiming it belongs to him seems as bad as stealing, not saying anything at all would actually be better than that.
