When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent's Life Points: You can send 1 random card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard.

If this card destroys an Opponent's monster as a result of battle: Add to your hand 1 "Ancient Gear" card or "Geartown" from your Deck, except "Ancient Gear Sentinel".

If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. You can Normal Summon "Ancient Gear" monsters with 1 less tribute for each Xyz Material attached to this card.

Ancient Gear Antique-Works

Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Ancient Gear" monster from your Deck. During the turn you activated this effect, you cannot Special Summon non-"Ancient Gear" monsters. A monster summoned by this effect is banished at the End Phase.

Ancient Gear Ballista
[color=#008000]Spell[/color] / Quickplay
Activate only if you control at least 1 "Ancient Gear" monster. Target 1 monster on the field; that monster loses 400 ATK and cannot be destroyed until the End Phase. At the End Phase of a turn in which this card was activated: You can target 1 face-up monster that battled this turn; send it to the Graveyard.

Add to your hand 1 "Ancient Gear" monster with 1500 or lower ATK, from your Deck.

Ancient Gear Mechanism
[color=#008000]Spell[/color]
Add to your hand 1 "Ancient Gear" from your Deck. Then, you can Normal Summon 1 Level 5 or higher "Ancient Gear" Monster during this turn, in addition to your Normal Summon or Set. Only 1 "Ancient Gear Mechanism" can be activated per turn.[/b]

i really like these cards! particularly that many of them are searchers since ancient gears tend to be a bit sluggish otherwise. one thing i would like to point out is maybe expand swordsman to just "gear" spell or trap cards, since as it currently stands you cant search out spell gear (whether someone should be using spell gear at all is a completely different matter of course). also rank 2 is an odd choice for clockmaster since ancient gears have quite a lot more level 4's and level 2's (doubly so with the several extra level 4's you've made).

[/quote]Clockmaster's main use is with, quite literally, "Ancient Gear". And We don't want Spell Gear to be searchable.

Ancient Gear and Ancient Gear Cannon are both Dupable.
Mechanism searches for Ancient Gear, who in turn, can Summon itself if you control another.
So naturally, Clock would be quite easily played.
And at that, you can play Golems from your hand without eating a lot of your resources.

Swordsman nearly instantly makes the deck work about 10 times better

Archer is not needed

Sentinel at 2 with 2 Gadgiltrons + 2 Golemns for 6 Trade-In Targets

Clockmaster at 2 in the Extra.

Antiques is pretty nice, Ballista is an effective searched pseudo reverse Chalice/Shroud Hybrid, Blue-Prints is amazing with the current support, and Mechanism...well Mechanism just broke the deck. I get to Summon huge beater from my hand with no problems, and Ballista is there to pretty much stop Torrential, or Bottomless.

It's effective. This support works, but Mechanism...yeah...that's the card to hit.

mechanism doesnt mention whether you still need to tribute monsters for the additional normal summon. i was working on the assumption that it does which is why it doesnt seem THAT bad to me. even though someone using mechanism will likely have geartown/castle/clockmaster on the field, its not guaranteed and someone could remove those elements before you use that extra summon.

Yes, Mechanism still requires you to provide Tribute Fodder for said level 5 or higher guy, as you cant Normal Summon them any other way.
Because the original concept we started with, was using Gear/Cannon as easily accessible Tribute Fodder, to have a slight Frog-Monarch thing going, but gradually became its own thing with other ideas thrown in(Archer, the Xyz, etc)
