@Keto: Just elves with darker skin, blacker coloring, etc is my guess.

Spike, should I reveal what the attacker was?

Um. No. Syrons are pure white, intensely pale. They're always bald, and their ears are much more obviously tapered and warped then the elves, whose ears are more subtle. The only parts of them that arent white are their clothing, their fingernails, and their eyes, which are solid black.

I'll PM you about that.

Okay I am REALLY starting to get upset with this controlling of our characters.  I mean for one, most of the group would never be stupid enough to just take some random stranger in so you literally forced our characters to do something which the would not have done.  Minor things, like saying that we explain things or ready our weapons, would be fine but THIS.  This is something that took up HOURS of their time, and furthermore you had the ENTIRE group stay together.  I can guarantee that Alaster would have left to tell the elf queen about the threat they'd discovered and hell he would have strongly advised against taking the old man in at all.  I like the story of this RP, the magic system is fairly well implemented, but taking control of our characters to THIS extent is absolutely ABSOLUTELY not kosher.  And what's with this thing about them all falling asleep?  IF they took the old man in at all enough of the party would be suspicious enough of him to post a watch on him so there wouldn't be any taking them by surprised.  Neph, I would ask that you suck a bag of dicks good sir.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^

I can't reinforce how this is the bannable version of powerplaying! This situation wouldn't have happened on any level. I can't even begin to fathom the logic it took post those litany of inconsistencies! That is atrocious! Where did that come from? Seriously where?

I have two characters who are blatant skeptics when it comes to life. One who is completely skeptical about herself and a cat who is skeptical about everyone else. Silvest won't even let Mel (you know perfect Red Ranger Mel) get close to Beatrice, but I should believe that both of them are just going to let some strange old man [insert pedo-bear reference here] is just going to sleep in the same space as them? Silvest would have killed the old man when they first found him, that's not a joke I literally was ready to write down killing the old man as I was reading. Beatrice would have went back to camp because she could arguably get their faster etc etc.

But you know what let's stop talking about where we were and let's get in to where we are. *sighs* Really, another series of supposedly unbeatable enemies. Has it even been a full 24 hrs. Since their last super uphill battle. What's the goal of this one? A bunch of failed attack post till the Syrons show up and show how awesome they are. Then while we have used up all our mana and good tricks (which will most likely be for nothing) something else comes and takes us on. I see the theme of this RP and while its inception was brilliant and marvelous I'm finding the execution to leave much to be desired.

I repeat this last little progression here...was/is atrocious.

I can almost guarantee that Alaster would know right away that this guy was ANYTHING but an innocent party.  I mean let's look at this for a second.  His clothes were all torn up and he was covered in blood, but didn't have any wounds.  That means it's not his blood.  This means he somehow got covered in blood, and with the clothes being torn to shreds and us being in a fantasy world you know what immediately comes to mind?  Werewolf.  People don't let werewolves live, they kill them on sight.

Your character would kill a man under the mere suspicion? I'd say, interogate him, then, throw him in a cell, under lock and key. That way, his friends will somehow rescue him and we will be in the same position which Spike seems to want us to be in.

You need to get one very important fact into that thrice-cursed thick skull of yours.

I. Am. Trying. To. Fix. This.

If you cannot see that and insist on continuing to argue with me, I may just disregard Alasters opinion throughout this entire damn scenario. I can have Neph edit his post to just introduce the guy, and I will personally make sure that this never happens again. If you cannot let this drop and let me FIX IT, you risk getting kicked. I made a HUGE mistake in OKing Nephs post, I KNOW THAT. And I am currently trying to FIX THE DAMN MISTAKE.

If you can just drop this whole damn additude you have going on here and actively try to HELP ME fix it instead of constantly arguing with me, we might actually GO SOMEWHERE.

You are correct, you arent the only one dissapointed in how this RP is being run, I am too. But if you're gonna ride my ass every time I make a freaking mistake, you need to just leave. I'm human, I'm allowed to make mistakes. And like I've said, I'm currently trying to FIX this one.

So if you're willing to help me fix it, I might be able to at least SOMEWHAT please everyone. So you need to drop this, and either step back and shut up, or help me fix it. Now.

Okay hold up: "man not wound but torn up and covered in blood" that's a movie trope! Who would fall for this? Seriously who? Every one of these characters has some modicum of intelligence and to be more exact none of them seem really gullible. Now granted they might not kill the old man (my cat will) but I fail to see the logic in something so blatantly obvious being overlooked by everyone.

Beatrice is a skeptic, Silvest is a skeptic, no way in good conscious let them look past this. Second Silvest is a cat would not the smell of the blood on this mans w/e he's wearing match the scent of the carcass? How much do I have to over look here

Finally, I applauded the efforts to fix the fuster cluck of a mess this situation is, really I do. Here is the answer.

  1. NEVER powerplay our characters to that extent again! That was a nightmare to read and more of one to figure out how to post a response
  2. Have the characters fight/vote it out. Clearly we have some nicer characters (En, Reaal, Jak, Mel) and we have the skeptics (Beatrice and Alaster). If we just post loud arguments for a couple rotations it can end in a vote. And if everyone acts right the old man should end up with the group by majority vote. Therefore bringing you back to your original position.
