Alice Moonflowyr
Yes. I'm restarting this muthaf***a.
The world of Breol is a world of magic. The Arcane is common, nearly everywhere in Breol. Deep forests cover most of this world, starting out leafy and bright, then as you venture further, it transitions to dark pines. There are five “safe points” in Breol, where the monsters cannot come. For the forest is filled with magical beasts, Dryads, Centaurs, and other strange things.
The first safe point is a walled city called Viz on the northernmost part of Breol, where the trees end and there is just grass. It is quite easy for people to get in the city, for the inhabitants place their trust in the four huge watchtowers on each corner of the city. The towers are so high, and the Watchers’ sight so good, that they can see beasts approaching from miles away.

The second safe point, Reli, lies eastward from the forests, and lays in a mountain range. This city is harder to get into than Viz, seeing as it is harder to see beasts coming, and some can disguise themselves. However, if Reli were to be attacked, it would be the easiest to defend, as it is in a small valley surrounded by mountains. Except for the hardiest of creatures, Orcs being a good example, no one can cross those mountains.

This safe point, Weiaf, lies in the western end of the forest, and has very little to do with the other cities. It is the hardest to get into, seeing as it lies in the forest itself, and has very powerful Wizards defending it. Almost nothing is known about this place.

This safe point, Arxis, is in the southern region of Breol, and actually is in a desert area. It would take a week’s marching through the blazing head from the forest edge to get there, then there is the matter of getting in. The desert has its own beasts as well. The people of Arxis wear white robes everywhere, as protection from the heat.

Tuayu, the fifth safe place, is actually little more than legend. It is rumored to lie on a cloud directly above the center of the forest, and is home to Djinns and other air creatures. No one has proved the existence of Tuayu.

There are 8 kinds of magic.

Elemental

This controls the four base elements: Fire, Water, Air(Wind), and Earth.
Some people have mastered the secondary attributes of the first two; Lightning(Cold Fire), and Ice. Wind and Earth have no secondary types.

Lifeforce

The opposites, Light magic and Dark magic.
The secondaries, Life and Death.
The tertiary’s, Plant and Ruin.

Arcane Force

Telekinesis, Telepathy, and Force magic.
The secondary, Aethr. This is the art of creation. (Making nonliving items of low to medium value)

Summoning

The art of summoning creatures, spirits, and other things.
The secondary, the art of altering a substances properties(Transmutation)

Those are the basics. The next ones are lores that are lost, or rarely taught.

Signweaver

The art of manipulating magic with your bare hands, using hand signs to focus your magic.

Rune Maker

The art of etching runes into the air to invoke that runes power.
The secondary, writing runes down on a piece of parchment to record things.
The tertiary, etching runes onto a weapon to embed that runes power into said weapon.

Swordmage

The most lost of arts, this is transporting a force called “Ageder” through a weapon bonded to the Swordmage. This art was lost long ago. When a Swordmage came of age, his face would become a semblance of ice, with any facial hair turning to icicles and the skin turning light blue.

Seeker

The art of transferring a force called “Aruer” through a bow or thrown weapon bonded to the Seeker. When a seeker comes of age, the Primal Spirits of Breol give him a bow of a true Seeker, visiting the Seeker in their dreams. When the Seeker wakes up, they find the bow next to them. This art was lost along with the art of the Swordmage.

The gates of death are represented by seven forbidden runes. Nothing is known about these runes, and only the dead know of the Gates.

Rumors are going around about a Warlock living deep within the Forest. They say he is killing the forest, the source of all food, for an experiment. A group of young wizards decide that they will investigate, against their cities wishes. The six wizards meet at Allvia’s Rock a week from when the RP starts. You start in your city/safe point.

I will accept five other wizards for the base group, those five and me. They live in different “safe points” (Unless you have a preference I will assign you a safe point.) If all the safe points already have a player stationed in it, I will assign you one, and you might want to PM the user who is there and try to set up some kind of relationship, so you know each other (Sibling, BFF’s, GF, BF, be creative!) After each of those are filled, if other people want to join, then they can, but they need different motives to go into the forest (They have NO IDEA who the first six wizards are (if I even get more than 5 people) and they need an independent motive to enter the forest. They can meet up later and form one big frickin group, or you can stay independent. Your choice)

The first person to post an app can be co-host if they wish, IF

They have been in at least 1 other RP.
They remain active.
If the co-host is inactive for more than a week without good reason, he will be demoted and I will appoint someone else.

All YCM rules apply
No short posting.
No Gmodding
Be nice.
Have fun.

Name: (I need first and last names. And no character’s named “Bob” or “Joe” or anything else like that. Be creative.) Age: Anywhere between 16 (when wizards come of age) to 25 (note that I said “young group of wizards.) Gender: Duh. Appearance: 3-4 lines. Personality: 4 lines MINIMUM. Implement: All wizards need something to channel their magic through, unless they are a Signweaver (Which is illegal to start out with.) Acceptable implements: Staff, Wand, Orb, Rod(no jokes guys, no p**is jokes), or Familiar. (A small animal no bigger than a large cat.) You can design the implement any way you want, as long as nothing interferes with its focal point (the tip of a wand/rod/staff, the Familiars mouth/hands etc.) No decorating your Orb, as the whole thing is the focal point. One implement per character. Primary Magic Type: Should be obvious. Choose one of the first three magic types to use. Secondary Magic Type: This is usually Arcane Force, but you can choose a different one. Tertiary(optional): Same as the above, but with a warning: If you dabble in THREE magic’s, they are all going to be a sight weaker than if you had just specialized in one or two. Spells: Minimum of three, maximum of six.
Name: (the spells name) Type: (the magic’s type. It MUST be one of the ones you specialize in.) Recharge: (The amount of time you must wait before using the spell again. Except for very minor spells, you need a minimum of 3 minutes.) What it does: Duh. (not TOO strong plz.)
Bio: 3-4 lines minimum. 2-3 for the people in the first five (the pwotaganists), seeing as they grew up in the city itself. Other: Derp.

Name: Mel Revisa (re-VIS-uh) Age: 18 Gender: Male Appearance: Mel is 5’9 with long arms and legs, he has long black hair (think of the fox-demon-guy from YuYuHakusho.) that goes down to his waist. His eyes are blue, and match the color of his clothing. He wears a blue tunic with a leather vest and leggings. His shoes are beat-up, and suggest he has done a lot of running. He has a scar on his left hand as a result of accidentally blowing up a wine glass. Personality: With his friends, Mel is always laughing, joking and generally having a good time. With strangers, he is stoic and silent, speaking for as short a time as possible, and with as few words as possible. He has no patience for endless blabbering however, and usually goes right to the heart of the conversation with no preamble. In battle he is a tiger, using his Fire magic to incinerate his opponents in seconds. Implement: Wand Implement Appearance: The wand is simple, made of cherry wood, and a mahogany handle. The wand is twists in a spiral-like pattern, as if someone had carved at an angle while turning the wand. It has hints of red and maroon in the handle. Primary Magic Type: Fire(can use lightning) Secondary: Arcane Force
Name: Fireball Type: Elemental(Fire) Recharge: 30 minutes Effect: Blasts a circle five feet across with a giant fireball. Harms friend and foe both unfortuanately. Name: Incinerate Type: Elemental(Fire) Recharge: 5 hours Effect: Instant death for a single enemy weaker than Mel Name: Ball Lightning Type: Elemental(Fire(Lightning)) Recharge: 20 Minutes Effect: Mel hurls a ball of lightning at an enemy, and it explodes on impact, stunning and slightly burning target. Name: Blast Type: Arcane Force Recharge: 10 minutes Effect: Shoots 5-8 small invisible orbs of magic that slam into nearby enemies. Name: Ember of Dragon Type: Elemental(Fire) Recharge: 1 minute Effect: Shoots embers that deal little damage out of users wand. Mel has modified the basic ember spell so that it can set the target on fire. It can also be adapted to Lightning, thanks to another tampering of Mel’s.
Safe Point: Viz. Bio: Mel was born into a noble family, and as noble children are, was spoiled to death. When he turned twelve, he got a private magic tutor, who found Mel’s affinity for fire, and improved it. Teaching pretty much beat the spoiled part of Mel out, leaving the happy-fun-time Mel behind. When he turned sixteen, his mentor produced Mel’s wand for a birthday present and Mel nearly set the house on fire, being so exited. Then he met his friends, (which I will name once people join XD) and they decided to venture into Breols forest, meeting at Allvia’s Rock in a week. Other: Being born into a noble family, Mel has a pouch filled with exactly 50 gold coins.

Oh, dang forgot something. All wizards have the following, even if they didn’t choose Arcane as a magic type that they can use.
Name: Levitate Type: Arcane Force(Telekinesis) Recharge: 1 minute Effect: You levitate target object of 5 lbs or less for a few minutes Name: Mindspeak Type: Arcane Force(Telepathy) Recharge: Instant Effect: You project a phrase of 35 words or less into targets mind. Target can respond with same limitations
Derp… Well, c’mon! Join!
If you would like to. That is correct. Life magic is mostly Healing and Holy Magic stuff, and Death magic can be a bit like necromancy. Whereas Plant magic is more druid-like, and you can control plants and s***. Ruin is a more controlling Death magic, where you can control diseases and rotting and s***. Aix
I'll start working on my app here.
Name: Jakarias Oswald Lanteirin (Ja-KA-ree-yaz OZ-wald Lun-TAY-rin) Age: 17 Gender: Male
Jakarias is just below average height at 5'6" but his massive orange witch hat adds an extra two feet to his height. The hat also has a one-and-a-half feet wide tricorn-like brim with a black trim and is torn at the back. A face has also been torn onto the hat, two rips for eyes, a triangular rip for a nose and a very jagged wide rip for a toothy even shark-like smile. Jak, as he is usually called, has longish messy raven-black hair, which the bangs cover his eyes, which are actually quite large and amber in color. He has a small unobtrusive nose but a large mouth which he smiles often. He wears a long black and slender, form-fitting robe with a long zipper that goes down slightly past his ankles, though it is ripped to the point of being completely jagged and so not all of it, just strips come past. It extends up his neck like a turtle-neck to cover the scar on his throat. Though most of the robe/coat is form-fitting, when it gets past his elbows it extends out to be very baggy but, like the rest of the robe, it is really torn up. His shoes are black and curl up like a jester's. Jak has many scars over his body from run-ins with the creatures of the forest, he has most of them covered with his robe and he covers the one on his left cheek with white tape. One time, he nearly died because he was slashed across the throat, he was saved, but the slash damaged his vocal cords and he cannot talk, so he got the hat to talk for him.

People tend to avoid him due to his rugged, dirty and even somewhat sinister appearance and his creepy smile and Jak himself has never really found himself or imagined himself fitting in with other people. He has gotten used to being more or less alone though he does secretly wish to be around some other people, but he finds most people not to his tastes. Jak is usually quite shy due to the fact that he has very little experience with other people, instead focusing on his magical studies and training to pass his time. Jakarias also has a taste for adventure, often he will go off on trips, alone which is not a good idea, into the forest and forage as well as collect alchemical reagents which he then sells. He is not completely careless and knows, though from experience, not to venture too deep into the forest and is always cautiously watching for signs of monsters that are beyond his level. Jak is not violent, though can be. Because he has avoided people and people have avoided him, he is very naive and knows very little about the darker nature of human beings so when he sees injustice, he will try to go correct it himself. He does not talk, rather he telepathically communicates with his hat so that it talks for him. Even then, he is not very talkative, though the hat is.

Jakarias mainly uses two types of magic which he is more or less equally proficient in. Implement: His channelling implement is an orange orb mounted atop an ebony stick. The orb is held in place by the very detailed carving of an emaciated thin-fingered hand with sharp rugged fingernails (it's mainly there to hold the orb in place, the orb is the actual implement, the wood is also immune to fire). Magic 1: Fire Magic, though he cannot use Lightning Magic 2: Earth/Life/Plant Magic, manipulates plants, trees, particularly pumpkins to grow and/or do his bidding. Items: Magical Hat, it is a talking hat that has it's own personality and can sway as well as telepathically communicate with it's wearer (only if the wearer is willing). Dagger, a very sharp and straight ebony hilted dagger that does not have any magical properties, it's useful for cutting off reagents and the occasional beast.
Lantern Blast Fire Magic, Cooldown: 1 minute (usually) Creates a yellow-orange glowing hot orb, usually 4 inches in diameter, that he can direct and float around. It takes up a small amount of energy to maintain but as long as he has energy it can just float there, he often keeps them floating around and generates them as he walks. If he releases it, it explodes. He can charge it up, which then it gets bigger but has a bigger cooldown and he can also make them smaller, 2 inches in diameter, which then the cooldown is only half a second. Actual damage it does is quite minimal but it is very painful. Nature's Grasp Earth/Life/Plant Magic, Cooldown: 30 minutes Extends the roots and branches of nearby trees to come up and grab the limbs of opponents. Slowly, he can allow it to extend up the target's limbs. The closer the tree(s) the smaller the cooldown. Flame Fire Magic, Cooldown: up to 30 minutes Sets something on fire, whatever he's pointing at, or he can set his orb on fire. More fire equals more energy required. (Duh) Flame Pillar (Similar to Incinerate, but Weaker and Stealthier) Earth/Life/Plant and Fire Magic Combined, Cooldown: 2 hours A stealthy tactic which he points (without drawing attention) his orb at the ground and channels the energy into plant roots. The energy is passed on until it reaches underneath the target. Jak points his orb/wand at the targets feet and a large pillar of flame jets up.

Jakarias was an orphan. He had no memories of parents or anything. From the very start, Jak was considered an odd child and left alone, but one day as he travelled into the woods to play (do not do this at home) he met a blind old man hunched over tiredly. The man was covered in scratches and obviously had travelled a long way. Jak helped the old man to the city and the man thanked him greatly and took him in as his apprentice.

Astolfo

Name: En Igma Age: 18 Gender: Male

At first look, it appears En has gray hair, but just look for a second longer, and you'll see it is silvery, actually. He has bright blue eyes, and has a minority 'tanned' appearance, enough to keep him from looking pasty-white. He isn't too tall or too short, and isn't too muscled, although he does have some plain strength as well. A word one might use to describe him is lithe. He wears a simple silvery-blue tunic that fits him kind of tightly, but enough for easy movement. For additional movement, instead of the long "dress" like style tunic down to his legs, he just wears plain sort of tight-fitting pants of a matching color. If needed, there is a hood attached to the back of the tunic. A tight sash is also located across the top of his left shoulder down to the right hip, containing minor things and whatnot.

En is a very friendly fellow, and would have navigated his home land, Weiaf, with his eyes closed, and be taken for an enemy, without any protection, if it meant it would save a good friend in danger. However, he is not naive, and he can detect lying and trickery relatively easy, and unlike the rest of him, he isn't very sympathetic to liars and malicious people. Otherwise, he would more or less help people if they need a few extra coins here and there, or help get rid of a nuisance, or some other monster-type pest. One of the bad things about him though, is that he a bit fool-hardy, and likes to do thrilling things. For instance, if he found that Tuayu was real, he would've tried sky diving from the clouds down to the ground of Breol for fun in his extra time. This kind of take on things have gotten him injured seriously before (fractures, big monsters chasing him, impaling his shoulder on a monster's horn, etc), but he wouldn't have given it up for his life.

A rather unique creature En is fond of, who named it Schism, it resembles nothing more than a chunk of silver slime, about the size of two average mens' fists put together. It's specialty is minor mimicry though, and if used for channeling magic, it can transform into a minor copy of what the original would be, and weaker by about half (in base strength of the "wood" for the staff, or such). When used for channeling magic, it glows with a bright icy-blue hue and melds into: 1| A staff of sorts, with the tip of the staff as the main focal point. 2| A miniature version of an animal (1/2 times size about) and if that animal has any non-natural powers, it can use ONE and only one of those, reduced in power by around 40%-60%, depending on how much energy it has at the moment. So if it melds into a dragon, it can breath a small pencil-thin flame a few thousand degrees cooler than what an actual dragon's flame would be. Most of the time, Schism just spends his time as a miniature dragon curled around En's neck and shoulder.

Primary Magic Type: Dark Secondary Magic Type: Lightning Tertiary: N/A

Name: Chaos Detonation Type: Dark Recharge: 2 hours Effect: A "dome" of pure Darkness appears around En and pushes out extremely fast, like a miniature bomb. The "effective range" (complete destruction) would be about 50 feet. After that, there is scratches, breaks and such in the surroundings, but more or less fine. However, with a sufficient "absorbing"-type shield or a shield of the opposite type, a person shouldn't be too badly injured (bad bruises and such). However, do understand that the "bomb" just moves around things, so a complete "dome" type shield would be most effective, otherwise, leakage from around the sides can still bruise badly. Name: Yin Type: Dark Recharge: 2 minutes Effect: En shoots things resembling a typical fireball, but made of pure Darkness out. This does little more than knock the wind out of someone or temporarily blind them with darkness. Name: Darkened Appendages Type: Dark Recharge: 10 minutes Effect: About a dozen arm-thickness level appendages of pure darkness appear from En's back, and have clawed hands on the ends, with sharp tips. These can be used to grab things or spear things. The duration of these arms is around a minute or two. If contact occurs with these, the mind becomes foggy, and the trapped become tired, with their mental concentration used for casting spells being lost, with a painful cutting feeling where the tentacles touch. Name: Lightning Whips Type: Lightning Recharge: 10 minute Effect: Whip-like arms of pure electricity appear from En's back, with jagged arms, and pointed tips. These can be used to grab things or spear things. If contact occurs with these, a painful shock zaps the opponent. Name: Lightning Shockwave Type: Lightning Recharge: 1 minute for the "bullets", 30 for the electrocution Effect: En can either pelt the enemies with makeshift bullets of stinging Lightning, or completely electrocute them. The bullets do little more than knock the wind out of someone, minority stun, or distract the opponent. The electrocution is like a sling, covering the enemy in Lightning, then hurling them away. This is mainly for a get-away. En can fire about 10 bullets before he has to recharge. The bullets are shaped like miniature spears of jagged lightning, and En can help guide the bullets a bit. Name: Lightning Bomb Type: Lightning Recharge: 2 hours Effect: A "dome" of pure energy appears around En and pushes out extremely fast, like a miniature bomb.

Safe Point: Weiaf
En was born into a relatively high-powered magic family in Weiaf, and was first trained for his affinity. When it was revealed it was the dangerous Lifeforce partly, people shunned him however, and he was forbid from learning in Lifeforce, so his parents, still wanting to help, trained him in secret. His power could soar beyond, but he must keep it, lest one of the truly powerful Ancients of Weiaf completely destroy him, as punishment, which the Ancients could do with a snap of their fingers. Nowadays, he is kept on close watch, but En trains himself to use just Elemental type magic in public, and seeks kind of dangerous things and exhilarating things of fun, like freezing some of the monsters that dwell within the forests on their behinds, then running and escaping, laughing with glee.

En has some coins in his sash, along with some minor potions to strengthen him and such, along with a lucky charm, which has some "lucky" feeling for En, so he kept it. It was from one of friends, when he was younger, that had died, because the friend followed him in, and the monster caught him before En realized it. En blames himself, and keeps the charm, vowing to not let any of his other friends die. He is still tormented now and then by dreams of his failure.

Yayz~
