Premier Alexander Romanov
Why, if you're trying to defeat a guy who has a legendary reputation as a total badass and has killed many of your comrades, would you keep sending groups of enemies at the guy, knowing, in the past, that he just kills them all? In fact, why would you even bother fighting him?
Agro
Even the best warrior should die to swarming. Look at Ezio. If they'd just sent 2 guys at him at once, he'd be dead.
Premier Alexander Romanov
But it seems pointless to keep attacking if you and your forces just going to end up dead. Isn't insanity when you do the same thing over and over again and expect different results?
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Isn't insanity when you do the same thing over and over again and expect different results?
Indeed it is Einstien. You expect bad guys to just give it up as hopeless before the warrior? Even the mightiest swordsman call fall to the fickle cruelty of lady luck. Shradow
The thing is, battle isn't always the same thing over and over. Anything could happen. Personally I like Ghirahim's approach when sending waves of enemies at the hero: "I don't care if the whole lot of you get lodged on the end of his blade." Grunt Issun
First of all, most villains don't give two shits about their expendable minions. Second, it only takes luck for a random swordsman to cut off the hero's arm or head. Third, the minions will probably wear him down, or at least slow him down. Great Unclean One: VK
Why, if you're trying to defeat a guy who has a legendary reputation as a total badass and has killed many of your comrades, would you keep sending groups of enemies at the guy, knowing, in the past, that he just kills them all? Which will be more effective? Which will capture the objective easier and quicker? You can spend a s*** ton of cash for a fancy assault rifle like the M16, or you can spend less for something that does the job better for less. It's tough fighting an enemy that outnumbers you, it's easier fighting a single enemy.
Premier Alexander Romanov
I stand corrected. My apologies.
?someone?
I got a question: Why won't the final bosses of all those JRPGs go kick the hero's a** when he's weak? Why do they set up a chain of minions with a difficulty curve? I personally think they all secretly want to lose.
