Broken Abilities/Moves/ect. in Video Games

In all honesty, I only developed this topic after gaining the Mist God's ability in Okami, just because slowing down time at will in an action-adventure rpg is too abuseable.

So yeah, discuss the stuff that pretty much make the games you play laughably easy because of retarded design. Normally, this would apply to meta-gameplay, but just retardedly-designed stuff in video games in general.

Though admittedly I was never particularly good as him.

I'm not that good with him either. However, Tornado Ability in Return to Dreamland turns all the bosses in both the Arena and the True Arena into pushovers.

In Quest 64, stats raise through usage: HP raises from taking damage, MP raises from using spells, defence raises from taking hits...

And agility raises through avoiding attacks or simply running around. Have an overnight session or two of running around in circles safely in town by using tape or something on your controller and your agility skyrockets with little effort. The higher your agility, the more attacks you avoid, so it'll simply grow higher. Get it super high early in the game and just avoid everything that comes your way.

To make no mention of the Magic Barrier spell, which makes you invincible. Completely. With no exception.

(I'm no good as him, either.)

Maybe I didn't use it enough [s]or I suck at video games[/s], but I don't think it's particularly abusable. It doesn't last that long, and "I'm immune until x" enemies are still immune. It is very handy, though. Some enemies and lots of the side-content pretty much require the Drunken Sheep Mist just to dodge their attacks.

A certain illegal gun in Custom Robo lets you juggle your enemy so high, that when they Rebirth, they're still in the air, allowing you to juggle them AGAIN for game (each session does about 600~, and max life is 1000)

Guess it's illegal for a reason.

Moving into games people know more about.

...

I got nothing.

Oh man, that one's so much fun.

Stealth in Skyrim, once you get it to sufficiently high levels. You can stand in front of someone, crouch, and you're immediately hidden.

For Dishonored, I would have to say Stop Time. However, it is very satisfying to drop three guards at once without any of them noticing you.

MK is not even remotely broken in comparison to the rest of this thread. It's very possible, and even likely, you can beat him.

X's Ultimate Armor in X4, X5, and X6
Zero, in X6

Just off the top of my head.

I've only played X6, but I made both an Ultimate X and Black Zero file, and destroyed it both times for different reasons. (Except @#$%^& Metal Shark Player...)

Well, since things are discussed within the context of their own games, that's irrelevant. So far nothing posted here has been particularly broken compared to each other.

And of course it's possible, I beat MK players all the time, just like anyone else.

Also, at the time I posted him, aside from the OP there was no rest of this thread.

In the Golden Sun games, the combo which makes the Sol Blade unleash at something like 95%. Makes things laughably easy. Though speaking of Golden Sun, most particuarly in The Lost Age, refresh balls in the Star Magician fight... becuase after you spend 30 minutes killing a boss down to his last couple of HP, having them all return is just horrible...

Otherwise I would say Yojimbo in Final Fantasy X. Becuase killing every boss in the late stage of the game with only one move is just a little insane.

I don't even think Veil of Mist is that broken in Okami. All it does is speed up boss fights a bit. All of the boss fights are still ridiculously hard even with Veil of Mist.

It made all the battles that I normally would have a bit of difficulty with and Blight way too easy for me imo :/

Also, wasn't Ermac considered a broken character in UMK3?
